Sturdy shoe
A well made sturdy shoe. However, it’s really heavy.

Best hiking shoes ever.
Extremely comfortable I am 110% satisfied with them and I know now where I will always buy for my trail hiking shoes and everyday shoes.

Hiking shoe
The shoe looked nice. I like the color.
However, it was extremely stiff. I really tried walking with the shoes, but again never was flexible.
I ended up returning them.

Great hiking shoe!
Great trail shoe! This is the 4th pair I've owned. They are comfortable right out of the box and my feet stay nice and dry. A good sturdy shoe, color is nice too!

Overall good
Good construction on upper shoe. Support in sole is less than desirable.

Great hiking shoes
These are my go-to hiking shoes for damp or wet conditions. They have tramped through rain, snow, shallow streams, and flooded sheep pastures and my feet stayed dry. As long as you don't get into water deeper than the tops, they won't leak.

Great walking shoes
I’m very happy with this shoe. Excellent walking shoes; comfortable with good support. Looks nice and neat as well! I wear medium width, but more people could benefit if LLBean offered this shoe in wide width as well.

great waterproof shoe
I know these are not running shoes and neither is the cost for them. They are comfortable for walking on vacation tours and/or shopping for about four hours, then the insole just needs more cushioning in my opinion. I bought them for the waterproofing and they did not let me down in that respect. In full on Wales rain for a couple hours, they kept my feet dry. The price on sale was reasonable and they really are a good shoe although I wished they had a less stiff feel. They aren't stiff when I walk in them, they just seem stiff when putting them on. I never had a break-in period for my feet in these shoes, they were never uncomfortable, I just would prefer thicker sole cushioning.

Good shoe, but colors so ugly
Why are women's hiking shoes often such ugly colors? I thought I could live with the brown/green, but in person the pink part was very pink. I really didn't want blue. I am looking for a shoe that I can wear for hiking and also around town and to restaurants while I am on vacation. I usually bring one pair of hikers and one pair of sandals depending on where we are going. Please make a nice boring brown/black or tan hiking shoe.

Waterproof but Painful
I haven't had the opportunity to test the waterproof quality of this shoe, which was highly important to me, but the fit is my main disappointment. These shoes hurt my feet more than any other shoe ever has. No allowance for high arches and the natural transition of height from toes to instep cause my feet to ache after an hour of hiking or walking in them. I have loved LL Bean boots and shoes in the past so perhaps this is an outlier or a result of different shape/sizing from the country in which they are made. I live in the Pacific NorthWest so I need a waterproof hiking shoe 10 months out of the year.

Great quality...tooo wide
I gave the shoe 3 stars because of the size. I have a narrow foot and all Bean shoes are medium wide or wide. I just can’t imagine that I am the only narrow footed woman on the planet. That said, I sent them back and bought another bean hiker. It is wide also, however I innersoled them and wear thicker than summer thin socks. I wear my hikers every day—2-3 miles, dirt, gravel, paved, up hills and down— all weather conditions because I have two large dogs who need walks. Bought a different brand 2 years ago and they are literally deteriorating in front of my eyes. I also have a hiker (no tread left) that I have had for almost 15 and they are still my go to in the afternoons. The quality is there, the sizing, not so much.

Not for me
These shoes didn’t work for me. I ordered them because wide was available and they looked good. After wearing them inside for a couple days, I was still hesitant about comfort, but took them anyway to CO for hiking. My mistake; they are heavy, stiff, and not very comfortable. I’ll use them this winter for neighborhood walks.

This shoe will do for me!
I am very hard to fit because I have wide feet and a bunion on one foot, but the 11 wide seems to be ok.

Great grip for mowing on hills
I’ve had trail model hikers in the past and glad I thought to get them again as I need extra traction for mowing on grassy hills. They grip really well and are very supportive. Great price too!

Tough yet attractive
Great fit even for a narrow foot. Tough outside but not a heavy shoe. Perfect for dog walks and day hikes in any weather. Feet stay dry and traction is true. I wear with a medium weight sock.

Supportive and roomy
I bought these to replace a previous pair of Trailm Model Hiker 4 Waterproof Low Women's hiking shoe. I like the firmness of the sole (I have a toe joint issue) and the generous foot box accommodates orthotics I wear. These are comfortable and perfect for me.

I absolutely love these hikers!! From the time I took em out of the box n onto my feet, the most comfortable sneaker I've ever owned. Perfect fit, plenty of room for my custom made orthotics. Definitely worth the money!! Thx LLBEAN!!

Great shoes not really wide enough
Not so wide. They are fine with really thin socks but you may be disappointed with hiking socks because the shoes will be too snug.

Great for Loose Surfaces
Comfortable and great for walking on gravel roads. Found them while looking for a sole that would not slip around on gravel or loose dust so easily. These won. I have a lightweight summer pair also. True to fit.

Just What I Needed
Love the shoes! I'm not a hiker. I bought these for working in my yard. I needed footwear that provided stability on uneven ground. They were a little stiff at first. Softening up slowly.

Light Weight, But Tight
Shoes are very good. Light weight for packing & wearing, but tight despite the wide width. I am not a hiker, but bought due to waterproof description for trip to Scotland. May loosen the more I wear them. Wearing today for 3rd day.
