Wonderful
I was so happy to see insulated 8” Bean boots on sale! I have mocs and gum boots for small farm work in soggy Louisiana, but needed a taller boot for winter. I normally wear a size 8 or 8 1/2 shoe and always follow the recommendation to order a size down, which are perfect. With these insulated boots, I wanted to be able to wear heavy boot socks, so ordered my normal size 8. They’re just right- not too tight. The Thinsulate lining is comfortable. Thank you Kasey for making my boots. Love them.

Nice, but
I love bean boots, and I love the fit. But I didn’t like how the tongue is some kind of accordion piece instead of an actual tongue. It felt awkward and made the boots less comfortable and less flexible. I also thought the description should mention that the insulation is simply an insulated foot bed and that’s it. All that said, I would have kept these boots however, a piece of leather on the heel was not glued correctly and so unfortunately, I did send them back.
Difficult to say whether I would ever order another pair since they were like a 7/10 for me

Great Dog Training Boots
The right boot for training my dog the sport of tracking. We are walking through grass, weeds and sometimes mud as we train in winter. These boots keep my feet warm and dry as well as comfortable. It was a bonus that they were on sale.

Great
I was a little worried about ordering these online without trying them on, since half sizes are not available in this boot. I normally where a size 8-1/2 in shoes. I ordered a size 8 boot, as per LL Bean instructions. It worked! Comfy, stylish, keeps my feet dry.

Uncomfortable design
The boots were uncomfortable. The tongue was large and bulky. Footbed was odd feeling. I've had numerous different versions of Bean boots, but these were definitely the most uncomfortable. I returned them.

Not really insulated
Returning, they advertise as insulated but the tongue of the shoe is just leather, no cloth or insulation. Inside has two half inch by one inch strips of fluff and that’s it. Not what I expected for the price.

Size
No doubt sizing is difficult on line. I googled and it was recommended I ordered a size smaller. So, I did. They were too small. No reflection on the quality of the boots. I have other LLBean products and they are quality and I will continue to order from them. Simply put, the boots just didn’t work.
I decided to go with a boot I was familiar with.

Great boots
Comfortable to wear all day on the first day I got them. I use them for walking my dog on the beach and even the salt water dunking they get doesn’t break down the leather or laces. This is my second pair and they won’t be my last. I just wish they hadn’t changed the color combination.
