Stiff and Uncomfortable Allagash Cargo Shorts
I have tried to wear these shorts several times. The fabric is extremely stiff and uncomfortable, even after several washings. Definitely won't buy them again. I am a loyal LL Bean customer but this is the first item that I have not been happy with. Sorry LL Bean.

Allagash Shorts -Good for Travel
I really like these cargo shorts for travel. They are very durable, though a bit on the heavy side for hot summer weather. Pros: lots of secure pockets - like the snaps and side zipper pocket; love the dark cinder (gray-brown) color; roomy enough in the hips and thighs. Cons: zipper fly and side pocket zipper somewhat short. Waist is a bit snug; wish it had elastic waist to stretch a bit. Afraid they’ll shrink a bit when washed as they’re 100% cotton. Snap on back pocket is a challenge to close with a wallet in it. Overall, a solid pair of shorts.

Who wants pockets?!
It has all the pockets you’d ever need. Leg pockets are placed such that things aren’t slapping against your legs as you walk. Durable and comfortable. Perfect shorts for summer.

Pretty good product. Their durability is yet to be determined. My cell phone tended to fall out of my pocket until I started using the zipper compartment next to the pocket. Very roomy; more like a forty inch waste than the thirty eight I ordered.

Great shorts!
I like these shorts! Fabric feels very durable and substantial. Fits perfect at waist and hips, but roomy in thighs, which is comfortable to me. I don't need all of the pockets, but like the design.

But One Serious Flaw
I love how nice these look on me and will probably last for a very long time but one serious flaw…the zipper is one inch short! When am unable to use a urinal because I have to unbuckle and hold the garment up while I do my business. I
have three of these and all are the same. I measured the zipper opening to my old cheap Levi cargo shorts. You need to fix this quickly. To some guys maybe not a problem but definitely to me especially if I’m in a hurry.

Allagash Long Pants are the Best
I purchased a pair of Allagash LONG PANTS several years ago. They are awesome. Still have them as they wear extremely well. Great fit. Dry quickly. I wish they would bring the Allagash cargo long pants back.

Belt Loops stitched to thin material
Belt loops are stitched to the thin material below the double thick waistline shorts top. If they would stitch the loops to a wider thicker material like they do to the top of the loops, they would not be tearing loose leaving a hole where you cannot restitch...

Awesome Shorts!!!
Great fit, true to size. I'm a 34 waist. They are pretty durable; I wear them non-stop. However, they seem to wear out in the crotch first, every time. The cloth is the perfect weight for cargo shorts. I only wish that LL Bean would've kept the Allagash Cargo Pants in production.

Tight fit for my size
I was not satisfied with the fit of the shorts. I ordered a 36-in waist size which is my typical size and it is very tight as are the legs and the rear. The fabric seems good quality but the fit was not.... dissatisfied with the purchase

Purchased for Summer 2023 as I needed a new color = grey.
These shorts are well made, tough, very roomy and has great function (lots of pockets)
This style runs BIG. For last 20 years, I've been a 32 waist.
Waist 31 would be the way to go.
