Rated 5 out of 5 by from my "live in" pants I love, love, love these pants. Both the lined version and the unlined version are absolutely perfect. I spend a lot of time out in the garden and these pants are great. They move with you, shed dirt, and dry super fast if they get wet. They are nice enough that I can run to the store in them. I have a cat and the pants don't snag if I want to just sit and read with the cat on my lap. They are so cozy I could live in them...which brings me to my only complaint. The lined version only comes in one color. I want a second pair but I am hesitant to order a second pair in navy. The navy is a fine color but, come on Bean....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for a cold weather hike These pants are great for outdoor activities in cold weather. I usually like the lower rise waists, but I agree with others who have commented that this is a little too low. However, the pants are cozy and warm and comfortable enough to keep. The regular length is a bit long for me, but it works with boots. I've just washed them and the fleece kind of bunched up after going through the dryer. It seemed like the outside material shrank and the fleece didn't. But once I shook them out, they were comfortable and warm for a frosty walk to the park. It is hard for me to find lined pants that fit; these fill the bill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Like other reviewers, when these pants were washed and dried according to label instructions, cold wash & low dry, the fleece lining shrank while the outer shell did not. This left them sagging at the ankles. For the price, this should not happen, and the price was the main reason I paid particular attention to the instructions. Since some reviewers reported no shrinkage, LL Bean's test team must not have taken into account that not all washer and dryer brands would have settings that match whatever machines on which they tested. Before washing, I found them to be a good fit, nicely styled, and comfortably warm. I had hoped they'd be appropriate for casual wear outside the home, but post-laundering this is not the case. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific pants I just had to write this because I received the pants a couple weeks ago and wear them for my walks in Minnesota. They exceeded my expectations. The drawstring is super because it has substance. I'm able to pull it well with my arthritic hands/fingers. In fact, for an arthritic body the pants are very agreeable. No need to put in the dryer, just hang overnight. Who cares about wrinkles if you're on a walk. I never have put my lined pants in the dryer as I have very long legs and buy the Medium Tall and want to keep them high off my shoes/boots.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from rise not cut for woman's body The rise in these pants is not cut to fit a woman's body. Loved the look and feel of the pants but unfortunately the material and cut stopped at the hip line. Impossible to sit down without showing your underwear. No way these could be worn comfortably. I have been a shopper with LLBean for many years. Its time LLBean woman's jeans and pants get in style with the current trends. Legs too wide, pockets lined with white material that shows, and length of pants not accurate. Sorry but I will not be TRYING to find a good fit when measurements are off. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soooo comfy! I love the unlined version and am so glad I finally tried the lined ones - so warm and comfortable - the knit waist has spoiled me for anything more structured. Wish there were more colors. Regarding differential shrinkage: after warm-ish wash and low dryer, it appeared that had happened - but the reviews that mention fabrics sticking together and bunching up seem to have it right: pulled the fabrics apart, gave each leg a couple tugs, a couple shakes to get everything back in alignment, and the legs hung fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Lifesaver I sent these pants as a gift to my sister and they arrived just before an ice-storm when she lost electricity and heat for two days right before New Years Day. She said they were a lifesaver and kept her comfortable in an ice cold house. Comfortable enough to even sleep in. In the dark, she took out a flashlight to read through the LLBean catalogs until she found the pants and vowed to buy more once she had power back on.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Casual I bought these pants mainly for doing agility in an unheated building. They are very warm and comfortable, but the inside lining shrunk after the first wash so they wrinkle up at the ankle. They are now a bit too short, but since I wear with socks and winter boots they work OK. I was actually hoping the hip area would shrink as they are very baggy and loose. In summary, they are very warm and comfortable but completely lack style. I would probably order the longer ones next time and a size smaller.
