Rated 5 out of 5 by SecondTimeBuyer from My second pair I replaced my last pair because the interior of the heel wore through making it difficult to put on. But the benefits of the boot (comfort, warmth, waterproofing etc..,) far outweighed the disappointment of a relatively short life. The pull tabs have been improved vastly with the addition of a strong textile liner on the tab in addition to the leather. I bought a long shoehorn which makes it to where I don't even need to use the pull tab to put the boots on and I am assuming it will prevent the last problem I had with the failed interior liner. I really like these boots and I appreciate L.L. Bean working to improve them with the reinforced pull tabs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MNelson789 from Seem great After reading the reviews I decided to take a chance. I bought a half size bigger than I normally wear because it seems like shoes made if foreign countries are a little smaller. And I got the EE since they are usually a little more narrow as well. So, instead of a 10 1/2 I purchased an 11. Well the shoes seemed very snug. I had trouble getting them on and off at first. After I got them on I thought they would be comfortable once I broke them in, and I was right. After a couple of days I could take them off by myself. And I found them very comfortable. We will see how long they last, since I see no stitching I have to wonder, but we will see. Final summation. I love them. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ibetthisoneisfree from Perfect for what I was looking for I wanted a waterproof insulated boot for evenings and weekends at home. Slip-on style to get in and out of them quickly, warm and comfortable with good gripping soles. These boots checked all the boxes and are just what I wanted. Break in was quick. 14 wide which is hard to find generally. Fit is right for the size. They won't win any sexy boot contests, but fine with jeans and boots look pretty good overall dressed casually around the house and town. Hoping to get 3-4 years of only cold weather wear out of them and I think these will last that long if not much longer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by HappyFootWork from Men's Newington slip-on I am trying to replace a slip-on boot I purchased for my husband about 4-5 years ago from LLBean. It may have been the Storm Chaser line but the reviews on those were all "too narrow & doesn't come in a wide" so I ordered these instead. These are still too narrow, even in a wide, and the materials are not as high quality as his old boots…they even look a bit cheap. These were not comfortable. My husband said "The old ones felt like I was wearing athletic shoes, no breaking in". Sadly, I sent these back and will be looking elsewhere.

Rated 4 out of 5 by loveboxers from Good Boots The positives for this boot are that they are comfortable, warm and have good traction when walking conditions are not ideal. I would have given them a 5 star except that they are on the harder side to put on, I am hoping that with time that they will stretch and get easier. The loops on the front and back help, but the drawback is that with dress pants the cuff is always hanging up when I get out of the car and I am always pulling the cuff back over the boots. Overall they are a very good boot.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Talldiverguy from Tight in the toes, loose in the heel. Like the title says, its a snug fit from my arch forward yet very loose around the heel. It almost feels like you're wearing clog or flip-flop when you walk. They fit perfectly length wise so it's not a matter of the boot being too big. There's just nothing to hold our heel in while you're walking. Also, there is very little arch support. I don't have high arches, it just feels like you're walking barefoot. I tried inserts and that made the heel even looser so I had to take them out. The sole does not have the best traction when wet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Vidsu from Comfy, warm, but flimsy The boot feels comfortable, fits as expected and keeps my feet warm and dry. However, as I was putting them on for just the 2nd time the rear pull strap on the right boot ripped right off with hardly any pressure, indicating to me that these boots are not built to last.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Chase from Do Not Buy Just received the boots yesterday. Got them out of box to try them on. Tried the right boot on and before I could get the boot on the tab on rear of boot that you hold to help pull boot on tore off. I do not know how they fit as that is as far as I got. I will be returning them. First thing I have ever purchased from LL Bean that had a quality issue. Quality Control is evidently an issue now as before I purchased read another review of this happening. Should have been a red flag for me but...it wasn't.
