This boot is great looking and with a comfortable foot bed, wide enough but, the cuff is very stiff and uncomfortable. I tried it for a few days inside but it did not soften up. Sad that it didn't work for me.

Exactly what I was looking for in a boot!
I bought these boots for work a couple of weeks ago, and they fit perfectly. I am on my feet a lot during the summer because I work at an amusement park, doing the gardening and landscaping, and these boots fit comfortably and are waterproof as described. The traction on the bottom of the boots is also good for if I want to go hiking wearing these same shoes. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Plan a break in period. Maybe mine wasn’t long enough? I’m not sure, but these actually bruised the area above my ankles on both feet. I do not recommend these under any circumstances

Round Laces? Why?
As usual the LLBean hiking boots are good quality, but why round laces? I wore these boots for three hours and in those three hours I had to retie them at least six times. I tried a normal tie, a double tie, a loose tie, a tight tie. Nothing worked. Within a few minutes they were loose. Lucky there are places that sell you flat laces. The rest of the boots were the usual good quality I expect from LLBean, but the laces are useless. I'd recommend the product only if you're willing to spend a few extra bucks for some tieable laces.

Nice fit
I ordered wide width which is not incredibly wide but just enough to be comfortable. Not many of the woman's hikers are in wide. Just allows more comfort,
personal preference. I also like the blue color.

Tough yet comfortable
Boots are rugged, with a strong sole (bottom), lightweight and comfortable. I am slowly breaking them in for hiking season. Only thing that is uncomfortable is above the ankle after I tie the laces . I'm hoping that after a while the leather will soften and it will be more comfortable.

Even though I had ordered the wide shoe, it was still too narrow, so returned it. Unfortunately, shoe/boot sizing is never consistent.Last boot I ordered was the Four Season sneaker which is no longer available. Had lasted over ten years.

Bulky & Tongue Will Not lay flat = stays in bundle
Bulky not flexible, Tongue will not lay flat = very annoying on front of ankle. They feel heavy & not flexible. I kept them thinking will break in But I’ve worn them 3 times & tongue still will not lay flat.

Ankle support not quite sturdy enough
Not as sturdy as I wanted. I am trying to replace a pair of now-discontinued LL Bean hikers from 2014. My feet have gotten wider. Ordered these since they are one of the few styles that came in wide. Ended up returning them because they just aren't as sturdy as my 2014 hikers.

Can't Beat Them
Didnt realize these boots were water proof when I bought them, so that feature is a super plus! The fit is very good...size 11... (my feet said, " Ah, thank you !" when I put them on). The quality is excellent, style is very good, and the overall quality is outstanding. Great buy for the money!

Great boots, order a size up.
Great boots! The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they run a bit small. I usually wear a women's size 10 but when I got them my toes were hitting the front. I returned them and got a size 11 and the replacement fit perfectly. Width was fine on both pairs.

Not designed for hiking
These were not wearable for me. Even though I ordered an entire full size above my street shoes, they still did not have adequate space for hiking socks and for normal foot expansion during hiking. Basically there was not enough height in the shoe, in addition to not being wide enough, even though I ordered a wide.
I wear the Bean Cresta leather hiking boots in 7 wide. These boots in size 7 1/2 wide were nowhere close to big enough.
My normal street shoe sizes between six and 6 1/2.

Thought I was purchasing a wide-width shoe but it was tight without hiking socks. Could have used more arch support as well.
