nice shirt
well, I bought several of these for my son. I actually bought an extra large in case they shrank. well, he washed one twice now and they have shrunk a lot. he can still wear it, but I'm afraid if he washes i again, it will be too small to wear. Other wise he actually likes them. Just don't throw them in the dryer and they probably would be okay.

A Good Fit
This is probably the fifth time that I have ordered this shirt. I wear them until the neighbors comment on how much they have faded, which is usually over a very long period of time.
I have been an L.L.Bean customer since the early 60s. And before me my father was a customer. And before him his father was one of the first of L.L.Bean's customers.

Very disappointed that you do not have these pocket polos in the TALL sizes - years ago we bought many from LL Bean - now .........what happened

Love the fit, feel and color of this new polo shirt! Would have given it 5 stars except they dropped the 3-button front--now only 2 buttons--saves a few cents, I guess, but I like the conventional 3-button front.

A Newer and Better Classic
The LL Bean Double L Polo has been a staple of my wardrobe for many years. This year, I wanted to add a new color to my collection. I had some trepidation when I read that the shirt had a makeover. Needlessly. It has the same high quality, durability, fit, and softness as its forerunner. It adds a little more flexibility for comfort and some new, more vibrant colors. In other words, it was more of why I have been buying my Polos at LLBean.
And I’m not the only one who thinks that. Jamie Waters, writing in the Wall Street Journal Journal of August 24, 2024 agrees with me. His Article, “I Wanted a Polo Like Harrison Ford’s” describes his search in both NYC and DC for a classic polo worn by the film star in 1981 while in France. (Yes, it was a fashion shoot.) His comparison test of reasonably priced polos ranked the LL Bean shirt as tied for top honors.
Which is why I give this shirt 5 stars and Jamie gave it the Palme d’Or.
