Love the Features!
Not a fisherman (woman), but seems ideal for our Texas rainy season in particular. Lightweight with good coverage. Would have gone up a size, if available, but this will do, along with light layering.

I love this jacket
I have the original one and I am glad they added hand pockets because that was my only complaint about it. Would love if LL Bean made this jacket it poplin or canvas and different colors. I would definitely buy a couple.

Fish On! Kenai River
This jacket was perfect, I spent 3 - 6+ hour days in the Kenai River fishing while the rain drizzled, poured, or misted down. I was perfectly dry. The rain didn't run up my sleeves and I had great days fishing no matter what the weather. It is a jacket made for fishing in the rain!
And on the fit. I wear a large to xlarge but wanted to be able to wear a sweatshirt so thought the xlarge was the right choice. I'm 5'8" and the sleeves were plenty long and hit me mid-hand. Fit was great, it is boxy but I had waders on and several layers 'cause the Kenai is cold.

Returned this - purchased not for intended use (fishing) but it did not work. I had purchased one of these similar light weight rain jackets for my husband and he loves it- perfect for the hot south but this was very different. I own some of the old fashioned LLBean rain coats but they are bulky, heavy- will keep looking

I’m pleased
I live in the mid Atlantic area so I bought it for anything recreational during a wet day. I don’t expect it to keep me dry during down pours, I would buy a different material and jacket for that kind of expectation. I love the color(s) and the fit and the durability. I was looking for something all purpose with quality and I found it for now!

This jacket is non restrictive, feels good and looks good. I do not fish but bought this jacket for hiking or running about in rainy weather. Love it .. love the color. The only thing I would change is to put the hand warmer pockets down further on the jacket. Using the pockets in their current high position feels very awkward.

Worse wading jacket
Bought this wading jacket for my anual fly fishing trips. Just used today in New Zealand in a light rainy day. In just 2 hours I was soaking wet. The rain had gone through the jacket. Total waterproof failure. It may be warm in dry cold weather but not useful in wet weather definitely NOT WATERPROOF as specified on the product specifications. Do not buy this jacket if you are an all weather fly fishing lady.

Great quality runs large
I thought the quality of the jacket was top notch. I ordered a large which usually works for me,and even for layering it was to big.
The color was a little to dark. I would prefer a grey or medium khaki. there is no doubt this jacket will keep you dry.

Love my LL Bean Wading Jacket
This jacket is the last piece of gear to complete my fly fishing attire. The fit is perfect for wearing over another jacket for my winter fishing.
I wore it for 2 days of 15- 20° wading in the river. I stayed dry and warm. All the men I encountered thought I was one heck of a woman, fishing in such cold temps. It's a perfect pairing for my LLBEAN waders!
There really aren't many choices out there for women's wading jackets. I do think there is some discrimination in this area. There are many more choices for men. I would love for you to make one with more pockets and a place to hook my tools like the men's version.
