Amazing little tent!
I received this tent as a gift from my mom when my daughter was born (coming up on 10 years ago). We still use it every time we go to the beach! It does require a bit of a strong pull now, but it does go up easily. Guys all of our beach gear, and quite a few kids! Sand bags are convenient to fill up to keep it from blowing away, and it’s been very easy to clean. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another, but this one will last us a long time still I feel.

Requires 2 person set-up and take-down
This is a nice shade shelter with an innovative design. It mostly sets up easily, except for the step where you pull on a cord while guiding the top hub into the bottom. Not only does it take a fair amount of strength to pull it all the way, but the bottom and top hubs don't align perfectly, so you have to push one piece sideways while maintaining maximum tension on the pull-cord until it snaps together.
Take-down is similar. The top and bottom hubs don't come apart easily. It takes 2 people. These difficulties are magnified on a windy beach like Cape Cod or Assateague.
On the up side, the spines pop into place nicely, and whole thing folds up like an inside-out umbrella. The bag is roomy enough that you don't have to struggle to fit it back in.

Going in the yard sale!
Bought last year and used one time. Difficult to set up. Nice when it is up. But don't walk away. The wind blew it into the dunes. The drawing of how to fold and pack it makes me laugh! Also not easy to pack away. If I get $10 for it I will be happy!

Amazing design but the blue attracts horse flies
We bought this last summer and I absolutely love the design and it's super easy to set up. The one problem is that the only colors it comes in are blue and blue with stripes. The blue color is very unfortunately the same color as the blue boxes you'll see all over New England beaches and marshes in order to attract horse flies. I've found I cannot use this tent on some days because it becomes a magnet and I'll end up with a swarm of horse flies bombarding the big blue dome and they get trapped inside and it becomes an untenable situation.

Blown away by this shelter!
The shelter served its purpose, however, I left it behind for others to use because there was a significant tear the very first outing. I did not see it happen, but likely it was caused by the armaments during set up, So, we had an extra “window” of sorts. The sea breeze made set up quite difficult. I would not expect the shelter to last more than a few visits to the beach, at most. Once set up, it is a nice place to read or permit a baby to nap. It seems like it would be vastly improved by using a more durable fabric.

A REAL Good Deal
We have had this Folding Shelter for 2 years. We go to Popham Beach, ME regularly. Most of the time the attached sand bags hold it fine in the wind. If I need more holding power I fill the storage bag with sand, and put it in the back of the shelter. The Shelter looks and works like new, easy to put up and take down, light weight...It's a great!!!

Great beach companion. Can't believe how easy it is to setup and take down. Great space for escaping the sun and keeping your beach things out of the sand. A little on the expensive side but for the quality and ease of use well worth it.

Quick and easy
I looked at a lot of sun shelters before deciding to spend the extra money to buy this one from LL Bean. I wanted something that would be simple and quick to set up and take down. The other ones I looked at all looked like they could be a real pain on a breezy day at the beach
I can say that this was very easy once you get used to the actual action of the system. I would note however that if you are very petite ( under 5 ft) your arms probably won’t be long enough to set it up by yourself.

Great product.
It really is easy to set up after you get it figured out the first time! But look at the directions before you take it onto the super windy beach for the first time(my husband is a lunatic sometimes in the moment, we have a newborn and three older children with our hands full arriving onto the windy sands of SC for the first time in a long time to the beach)!!! Our newborn stayed safe from the sun and mommy and daddy fit just fine along with the older kiddos taking turns to get a break from wind and sun on the shores of South Carolina on our vacation.

Sunbuster Folding Shelter
The Sunbuster folding shelter was easy to put up and take down. It was roomy enough for 2 adults and 1 child to enjoy lunch in the shade. I think it is built well and will last for awhile. I bought it because of the in-store demonstration with the associate. However, before you buy know the local beach codes of where you are going. Myrtle Beach has a no tent - sun umbrella only - ordinance, we were only able to enjoy lunch in the shade and then had to take the shelter down.

Easy and wonderful
A definite must have for the beach. I'm not sure why other reviewers thought it was easily breakable or hard to put together. The first time using it, it literally took less than 2 minutes to take out of its storage bag and have it popped up and ready to stake on the beach. I didn't even look at the instructions. There's no assembly of poles; you just pop the center piece into place and you're ready to enjoy it - it's almost automatic. You won't regret buying this.
