Pocket openings to small for gloved hands
Pocket openings to small in length even with bare hands! Needs Large openings. I am 5'2", 96 Lbs. I purchased these to work in, I take care of horses. Very warm and comfortable. Pockets not useable with gloves, opening to small.

I bought these for my grandson and he loves them. They have kept him warm during our extremely cold weather. They also allowed him to spend 3 hours outside sledding and he didn't get cold. I also love that they have "tougher" fabric on the knee's and behind and we were able to buy a size bigger because of the adjustable waist.

I bought this for my 9 year old son. We went to Alaska during April where the daily temperature was between 20 to -20 degree F. My son wore a thermal under these snow pants and he was very comfortable playing in the snow. Good fit, quality material, great insulation. Highly recommended.

NOT durable
I was looking for a pair of durable snowpants for my son that would last more than one winter. While the knees and the seat are reinforced and seem like they would be durable, the unreinforced part of one leg ripped the second time he wore them.
With regard to fit, my son is taller than average for his age and they were probably 6 inches longer than they needed to be. That wouldn't have been a deal-breaker, since he would have grown into them, but the poor quality of the fabric certainly was!

Not the quality I was expecting
I bought 2 pairs of these snowpants for my son and daughter just before winter. Within 3 snowstorms there were vertical rips in the knees just below the reinforced patches for my daughter and a week later for my son. Thankfully LL Bean exchanged both out without issue, but I am highly disappointed in the quality of the fabric of these snowpants. Definitely not the quality I have grown to expect from LL Bean, especially for kids wear. My fingers are crossed the replacements make it through the rest of this winter, but I will not be purchasing this product for next winter.

Size chart not accurate
According to the size chart, these pants in size 18 would be too small for my child. Seemed impossible, since she normally wears a size 14 pant. I ordered a 16 and 18 hoping the size charts were just wrong. That paid off. The size 16 was just a little big. Perfect from room to grow and last more than one winter. The size 18 was HUGE.
The quality of the pants is wonderful and anticipate they will work well this winter.

Favorite Snowpants...Ever
We have tried on many pairs and brands of snow pants over the years, and we always come back to LL Bean for the best quality and sizing. These have already comfortably brought us alpine skiing in NH, cross country skiing in Maine and sledding at home. The fit is perfect - not too snug that they would restrict movement and warm without the bulk (unlike other brands). Highly recommended.
