Revolving Scrabble board game
It’s nice. I love the smell of the wood when I open the box. It reminded me of something you find in an attic. However, I do wish the letters on the tiles were raised and not flat. You could use your old tiles from original board game, however, they are a little small for this game.

THE BEST THING EVER!!
Contain at least one letter of alphabet, sometimes more!!! Only a few complaints:
1. Only one Z and one Q.
2. Should have more blanks and there should be points assigned to them. I used a fine point Sharpie to correct this problem.
3. My wife wins 97.8% of the games
4. Is “za” really a word?

Cheap for the price
For $139 I expected a lot higher quality. The board case is an easily marked softwood, not hard like older deluxe scrabble boards. My board specifically is missing stain on part of the case. The tile letters are printed instead of etched, carved or routed. The printing looks like it will wear off quickly. The carousel is made of cheap plastic and seems like it will not last long. Very disappointed in LL Bean for selling this piece of junk.

My old regular deluxe edition of scrabble is much superior in materials and workmanship than this limited edition.
The plastic raised board of the deluxe is smoother than the unfinished rough wood on the limited. The tiles that came with the deluxe are heavier and have a smooth finish, they clink when you throw them in the bag. The limited tiles are so light they fly all over the place.
This limited is made of cheap wood that barely has a finish on it, if at all. The cardboard box for storage is like a pizza box and rips even if you are very careful when opening it.
My husband’s family are big into scrabble and my daughter splurged because she wanted to create an heirloom gift for her brother. I’m so proud of her for doing so but I am disappointed that she was so over charged for a low quality item.
The limited also has a lip around the playing board which makes it hard to see the tiles if you are sitting a little bit away from the board.
My deluxe edition is like new after over 40 years of play. I don’t think this limited edition will last very long.
Not up to what I would consider to be LL Bean standards for sure.

Great family gift
Very happy with this purchase. Well made item. Lazy Susan feature and raised letter boxes on the board are must-haves. Easy to pack up and put it away. And if you stop midway through a game, you leave it up as well.

The most beautiful, almost perfect Scrabble set
We play Scrabble almost every day so this was the perfect birthday gift for my favorite opponent. He LOVES this board and has no complaints. I am harder to please, however, and have managed to find a few faults with this gorgeous game.
3 petty reasons for the loss of a star:
-The included scoring pencil is round and rolls off the table EVERY time I put it down. (Very petty, I know, but also very annoying. We no longer use the included pencil.)
-The board is on a turntable that spins around smoothly, which is so luxurious, but if the table is not perfectly level, the board continues to turn even after you've stopped it where you want it. (Yes, I am complaining about how easily the board turns. Maybe a little more resistance on the spin would keep the board from moving too much? In reading back to my first complaint, maybe I just need to level the playing table...)
-The final and least petty issue: the board is too low to clear the tile rack when it spins around so the racks have to be kept far from the board to avoid the tile scatter when the corner of the board hits the rack as it turns.
In conclusion, this is the most attractive and luxurious version of the best game ever invented. It has flaws, sure, but who amongst us does not? I imagine that these quirks will become more endearing with time (just as my own have, in my opinion) as we learn to anticipate it's slightly unpredictable turn behaviors. The pencil is just trash, though.

One minor issue
We love our set. Unfortunately, so does our dog. Our only issue now is finding matching replacement tiles for the two that he chewed. They are nowhere to be found: we can only find cheap tiles that don't match the letters' color or the tiles' slightly larger than average size. Not the manufacturer's fault that our dog is not always being the best boi, but would love to be offered matching replacement tiles.

Everything about this Scrabble game is excellent! We had ordered one from another company but were very disappointed with the quality when we received it. The finish wasn’t good, the drawer stuck, and many other problems. This game is far superior at half the price. The top lifts off so no drawers to get stuck, the bag and letters and trays are great quality, and the turntable is very smooth. The wood finish is excellent. I would highly recommend this!
