Not exactly as advertised.
Unfortunately the hat color is beyond dark green - almost black in color. The green in the picture is what I expected, and I understand that dye lots can vary, but this hat is way off the color advertised.

Best hat ever
I always wear a baseball hat, the modern ones that players wear. The crown is high and it sits low. But I wanted to try a non sports alternative and represent my fav store of all time LL Bean and support the great work that the MIF&W do. I have a huge head and lots of hair, so I was scared it wouldn't fit. But as I adjusted the velcro in the back, it fits so nice! It doesn't fit like a low bill hat, but fits like a nice regular hat. Incredible quality. This will last me a lifetime. The wax cloth is soft yet water beads up on it. And I bought this one because all the reviews rave about the beautiful embroidery. The fish is pretty amazing. You got to see it in person. It's not cheaply done, but looks masterful. Really cool. This was on back order for a while and am glad I waited. I like collaborations where money is donated to help support animals and the environment. Get one!

Great Brook Trout Hat
This is a great hat. Waxed cloth is water resistant, color tastefully understated, and the embroidered Brook Trout is outstanding. I have a big melon and was a little concerned on the fit. No worries. Plenty of adjustment and you can wear it pulled down low profile or up a little for a retro trucker feel. Love the hat.

Good Quality but HOT
This is a very decent fishing cap. It is well built and very rugged. The only complaint I have about it is that the material is such thick canvas material that it gets very hot on your head. Almost to the point that it is unbearable to wear in the summer. The hat is amazing, fits good, looks great, just heats up way too much during the summer fishing days.

I love that this hat is adjustable, but, with that said, if you need to adjust for a smaller head the hat does not come with the slot to put the tab in as shown.....therefore, it looks a bit awkward with the extra fabric just sticking out. Disappointed with lack of this, otherwise love the hat!

A Great Catch!
I saw this last month and was very surprised to stumble upon it since I had not seen LL Bean's collaborative effort with MIF&W before and I thought that it was a great cause and a stylish logo series.
While it would have been easy to just get a cheapo hat to slap the logo on, they instead selected a great high-quality hat that fits well and looks good on its own.
The material is very nice and the color looks great. The Rainbow Trout is, in my opinion, the way to go because the colors are stunning and the quality of the embroidering is very good. It will grab the attention of your buddies for sure.
Another nice touch, that you don't see online, is that they stitched the "LL Bean" logo in green on the right side of the hat. I'd prefer that it be more visible.
The Velcro works nicely and ensures that you find the perfect fit.
I wish that they would have LL Bean products for the jackets, vests, and other items in this collection instead of a generic (lesser quality) product. I almost got the vest, but the brand was one I did not really recognize.
But other than that, a great catch!
