Good pants except for the side pockets.
These pants fit well according to the size chart, are very light weight, and will be comfortable travel pants. I have 2 pairs of these pants purchased quite a few years ago which is why I chose to buy another pair. However, I am very disappointed in the size of the side pockets on these new pants. On my older ones the side pockets go the whole way down to the leg pocket. On the new ones those pockets are too short to securely carry anything in them. There is no way I can safely carry my phone or keys in the side pocket and the phone won't fit in any other pocket. The fabric change and a few other construction changes are fine (like having 2 leg pockets), but the small side pockets is a very bad design change for me, which is why I took away a star. Women need big pockets, too! I would recommend them to someone only if they didn't care about carrying a phone in a pocket.

They stretch and get baggy
I loved these for about a week. I loved the fit and light weight so much that I was in denial about the degree to which they became baggy and quite loose and shapeless with wear. At least one other reviewer has commented on this. She was right. I didn't keep them long enough to see if they do pill, which other reviewers have noted. About sizing: In LL Bean pants, I'm a 6, which is laughable to me. As a teenager long long long ago, I was a 12, and I'm the same weight I was then. I even can fit in an LL Bean 4, but waist is a tad too tight for comfort.

Great hiking pants
These pants fit perfectly and the material feels great. I like the "roll up" option.

They’re all I wear anymore
I love these pants! But I’m bored to tears by the same 3 boring colors. I have multiple pairs of both the shorts and pants in black, tan, grey, and one pair of pants in mint green. At a hundred bucks a pop, I’d like a better selection of colors. PLEASE make them in more interesting colors: brick red, poppy red, navy, Kelly green, eggplant, pink, even brown would be a nice change.

The only pants I wear! Comfort + Pockets FTW!
I have so many pairs of these pants and shorts in 2 sizes. They’re the lightest weight pants I could find and I’ve been wearing them all year round for 3 or 4 years.
These pants are close to perfect but for 2 problems:
1. They need a second button on opposite side to hold the pants rolled up. As they are, the button only holds one side up while the other sags down looking sloppy and getting in the way.
2. The zippers on the side pockets are fused, not sewn, onto the fabric and eventually separate from the pants, making them no longer secure.
I no longer carry a purse because the pockets on these pants are large enough and secure enough to carry everything I need without looking bulky.

Almost perfect!
I love these pants! I would very much so like to give them 5 stars but after a few times wearing them I noticed the threading begin to pull in places where my backpack & jacket rub on it... but for the brand and the price you'd imagine the material should be incredibly lightweight AND be able to withhold against friction. It feels they won't last very long.

Petite Sizing Off
I bought these a few weeks ago and they are way too big in the waist. Too bad because I would've ordered the 4 petite but they are now $10 more than they were. I'm kind of sick of LL Bean's severe price increases. I will look elsewhere for a suitable long hiking pant that doesn't cost $100
