Need TWO buttons per pant leg!!!
I purchased these pants years ago and love them EXCEPT they only give one button per pant leg to secure the pant legs when rolled up. The pictures show they still do this. It makes no sense; both sides need to be secured when rolled up or they start unrollling, especially when they get wet. I had to get the mountain pants instead because those pant legs can be secured on each side. Those are fine pants but I prefer the Vista. Vista are outdoor pants - they are going to get wet and need to be secured better. TWO BUTTONS PER LEG, PLEASE!

Love these pants!
My third pair. I’m 158 pounds, 5 feet tall and size 10 petite fits perfectly, even though I’d normally wear a 12-14. Not too long. Lightweight and several pockets, perfect for hiking and tai chi.

I Love These Pants! Especially the New M/T Length!
Very Very VERY happy with the new available m/tall length! Thank you, LL Bean. I am 5-7 1/2 and wear a size 10 -- this is the perfect pair of pants for dressing up or wearing to do gardening or outside work. I have one pair I save for working in the field as a citizen scientist collecting dragonfly data in wetlands ---that pair gets hard use, and always looks good after a wash. I also wear these pants kayaking -- they are lightweight and dry quickly. Breathable, easy to wash, easy to pack, great for travel. I have three other pairs of these pants (shorter length because the longer wasn't available then) and I roll them up and down as the occasion calls for. Love the pockets. Expensive, but worth it! Please offer some new colors! Navy?

great pants !
love these pants. I wear them to work. When I'm outside they seem to work well on the hot days but offer protection on the cooler day. They also dry really quickly if you get caught in the rain. They seem quite durable and are comfortable.

Consider the pockets
These pants fit well and are comfortable; the fabric is light, stretchy, and dries quickly. But like my other recent styles of LLBean hiking pants, the cut is unflattering for any one with hips. The top opening for the side pocket is wide and too big relative to the depth. My phone falls out if I sit on the floor. I bought these because they, at least, don't have elastic on the waist band across the top of the pocket.

Pilled quickly
I bought these and the Mountainside pants at the same time, and these were a disappointment. They pilled almost immediately and look pretty shabby compared to the Mountainside pants, which still look brand new and have much nicer fabric.

Love the fabric, fit, and pockets
Great fit and can where anywhere. I just traveled with these pants and was impressed with how comfortable they are. Enjoyed all the pockets! Wore them as dress pants as well as hiking - versatile style.

Good quality but way Too short don’t know why there wasn’t a tall size option only “medium tall”. Apparently people over 5’10” don’t exist

Light and Comfortable
I purchased a second pair of these pants after finding them so comfortable. The fabric is light and cool. They run large. Love them - recommended to friends who love them also.

Fabric too fragile
The fabric is far too thin and fragile. Wore these inside and for walks in town. The crotch area pilled and the side pocket tore through the fabric carrying a small cell phone.
This is the first L.L. Bean product I have been unhappy with.

Comfortable hiking pants
I have been a satisfied customer of LLBean for decades. These pants are very comfortable for hiking! Great fit, light weight, roomy pockets. Packed well for traveling without being overly wrinkled. Would buy again! I am 5’7” 150 lbs size 12

Too long for a Petite
As a 5'1" person, I was excited to see LLBean has petite inseams. However, these pants were still too long. Only way they would work is if I always had the tabs rolled up which defeats the purpose of being able to vary the height of the pants. The waist and hips fit well but the legs were very baggy. I have found with the various LLBean pants I tried that they seem more suited to hourglass or pear shapes rather than my apple shape.

Live in Pants
Went to Yellowstone - luckily I bought a blue and black pair of pants. Wore these pants on the plane all over the park and home again. Our lodge in Yellowstone had laundry facilities - washed and dried them came out perfect. On hot or cold days they were perfect. Put on a nice top to go to dinner.

Overpriced
The Vista Trekking Pants fit comfortably, they are for very casual wear, they are quite wrinkly but they cannot be pressed, they must be dried on low or no heat. They are waaaaay overpriced.

Terrific quick-drying pants!
Doing trail work in the summer heat means I sweat. A lot. Other “quick-drying” pants I’ve bought stay soaking wet but not these pants. They’ve also got pockets galore. I’ve bought 2 pairs already and am about to buy a third.

Very comfortable and lightweight
These pants are really comfortable. I'm glad they have pockets (it is harder and harder to find pockets on women's pant which zip close), but I wish the pockets were bigger- they are not large enough to fit a large phone.
LLB used to carry various fishing/hiking/cargo pants with many more pockets, and pockets that were larger. I still use those old pants; the old ones are stained and I can't get a pair with the same functionality.

Great lightweight pants
Very comfortable and lightweight. Dry very quickly if they get wet in rain or from sitting on a wet bench. I took one star off for being too short when I sit down. I’m only 5’1” and LLBean recommended petite. I should have gotten regular instead. They are the perfect solution for mosquitoes!

Versatile and Light
A few improvements from last year make these my go to summer pants. They have snaps and belt loops for a smoother fit. They still are almost weightless in my suitcase.

These Pants Counteract Climate Change
These are great summer pants - the fabric, the fit, the pockets. I also appreciate that they are available in petite length. However, we need more colors - light colors, it's summer, people! Light gray or stone (the sand is too yellow) would be great.

Comfortable
Excellent material, stretches as needed. I bought the regular, but thinking I should have gotten petite, but the petite is just a bit shorter than I wanted. The regular is just about an inch too long. Le sigh. Will work fine in any case.

Large but comfy
This was slightly larger than the size chart measurements but very light weight and airy, very comfortable. Requires a belt due to larger size but the belt loops are adequate for a wide tactical belt.

Great hiking pant, but too big
I liked the comfort and feel of the Women's Trekking Pants. I ordered the size indicated on the size chart, but for me, they were to big in the waist and hips. Unfortunately, I could not order a smaller size.

Vista Trekking Pants
Super lightweight and comfortable. Wore several days backpacking. Only thing I'd change is adding a button to the other side of the pants so they don't partially unroll when walking.

Comfort, stylish and lightweight
These pants are super lightweight and super comfortable. It’s always hard for me to find pants that fit right but these fit like an absolute dream. I’m 5’3” and they hit right at the heel. When I roll them up they are still comfortable and I can bike, hike and do any activity in them. I wish they had more colors and I would buy them all! But these are a definite must have if you’re active and want to be comfortable

Great pair of pants
My favorite pants for dog training; big pockets for treats and toys. Lightweight so never hot. I have 4 pair of these up to 12 years old. I gave it 4 star instead of 5 as the fabric tends to pill in a short time.
