This exclusive flannel shirt is woven just for us by true artisans in Portugal. These expert craftspeople meticulously brush our Scotch Plaid fabric eight times on each side to create a long-lasting material with that distinctive smooth and cozy feel. But that doesn't automatically make it plush enough. It still needs to pass the "touch test." Only a master weaver can declare it soft enough.

Flannel shirt!?
I've had the shirt for 3 weeks, I've worn it a lot because I enjoy its softness. However, it has already started to pill under the arm. I love the color I love the feel of most of it but it's already breaking down.

nice but button placement affects warmth
This fits well, is soft and warm, and the pattern is beautiful. I'm disappointed in it because the second button from the top is too low. It leaves too much of an opening at the neck so it considerably reduces the warmth, but the top/neck button is too high to close comfortably. I suppose they designed it this way to make it more "feminine," but if I want to be feminine I'll wear a dress, not a flannel shirt. Also, the threads at the buttonholes are not finished well and keep looping around the buttons. In the future I'll go back to buying men's flannel shirts in size small. They don't fit as well overall but at least the button placement doesn't expose my chest to cold air.

Love the soft flannel and the color
Purchased my shirt a while back... love, love, love the soft flannel and the Antique Royal Steward color!! BUT, I totally agree with Anders, the shirt is a little boxy and could use darts or possibly offer a "Slightly Fitted" fit (as you used to have as an option). Washes great and will be worn often. May try and sew my own darts in....?

Offer more tall sizes for women!
The Scotch plaid flannel shirts and hoodies are among only a handful of women's styles that are offered in tall sizing, but they are great! Warm and cozy, with cuffs that actually cover my wrists. I own four of these in size large, and I reach for them constantly when the weather gets colder. The new "Washed Angus" plaid is gorgeous.
Unfortunately, LLBean keeps reducing its tall offering for women. Maybe I'm one of the few, but I'm willing to pay a premium for clothes that fit.

Nice shirt, but I found a flaw in the fabric, right on the front. I suspect a weaver’s knot was carelessly tied and ended up on the right side of the fabric.

Winter Comfort and Warmth
I purchased a second Women's Scotch Plaid Flannel Shirt shortly after receiving, washing, and wearing the first. The flannel is soft and warm. I also enjoy that the collar doesn't curl after washing. I really do not like having to iron/press casual clothes after washing so I was especially pleased that the collar held its shape during drying. This shirt is not warm enough (for me) in the winter, but layered well (both under sweaters and over turtleneck). For reference, I am 5'4" and ~115 lb. I purchased the Regular Small and it fits perfectly - not too fitted for layering, but shaped enough that it isn't sloppy.
