Down alternative pillow
I find this pillow very comfortable. It’s like the down pillow I used to have. It is soft so if you are looking for support or side sleeper, bump up to more fill.

Make sure you order the right firmness.
They are good pillows but I made a mistake in ordering medium. I can't use them because they are too hard.

Soft is horrible

Love these pillows
We have purchased 6 of these in the past. The medium firmness is perfect for me - soft but supportive. I have washed them several times. After a few years, they do get a little lumpy and need to be replaced.

Love this pillow!
We have been using two of these pillows for a few weeks now and love them. They are comfortable to sleep on. I love that they are not hard like foam pillows. I will definitely buy more for our guest room.

Nice pillow, just a little too full
I bought this pillow in a medium as well as a soft because I figured one of them would be just right. Both are very good quality but I find the soft one a bit too soft, and the medium just too hard.
I wish I could take a little of the stuffing out of the medium and put it in the soft! Overall, nice pillows and they aren't bad enough to send back, just wish they had slightly different densities.

I am so pleased with my new pillow, standard, soft! It is soft and not large, right for a small older woman! This pillow keeps my head and neck in alignment with my back bone... and so amazing, the right side shoulder discomfort and stiffness are gone! I may have to order a second pillow.

Two years later...
I came on here to write a review, and was so surprised to see I have had this pillow for two years. It's still really GREAT. I had struggled with finding a pillow I liked for a long time, and purchased many that I had for a few months, or even weeks. This pillow still has held up. I take it when I travel, bc I love this pillow. Highly recommend. I would buy another, but do not need to , since I still love mine!

Excellent quality
The material is excellent quality and the pillow is made well. I prefer a firm pillow, but purchased a medium after reading reviews. Most reviews indicated the pillow is too firm. I find the medium is a little too hard even for me. However, most pillows flatten after using awhile so I am satisfied with this purchase.

This pillow is a blob that barely fits in a new LL Bean pillowcase, because it's way too thick (high). It's a medium, but it's stuffed to the gills with the alrernative down and not very giving. Neither design nor production is good in this badly conceived pillow.

The Best Pillow!
Many years ago I was in a car accident and sustained a neck injury. I needed a special, non-feather/down pillow to support my neck and help relieve my headaches. I tried several brands. None were comfortable until I tried this one. I ordered Medium first. It was too thick for my neck. The Small is perfect! It is very well-made and quality fabric. This is my 3rd pillow of this kind. LL Bean, my neck thanks you!!!

This is a pillow
I have been searching for this pillow for a lifetime. I have always just used whatever pillow was there. I would resort to folding the pillow or stacking them to make it high enough to be comfortable. Nothing was ever really “comfortable .” When you sleep on your side, you need a firm, high support for your head. I had even invested in an expensive firm down pillow, but it would mash, and I would sink. This Bean firm pillow is FIRM. Every night, I smile when I get into bed with it. Resting my head on it without squishing my shoulder feels so good. It’s about time.

Soft feels more like medium
I have had this exact pillow for several years and have loved it so decided to order another one; however, the “soft” feels more like a medium and my other one wasn’t like this new one when I bought it. The quality is superb but it’s just the overstuffing that I’m not happy with. I am disappointed as my other one has been a great pillow! I’m going to “recommend” because of the quality but just be careful if you want a really soft pillow that this is not that.

Down Alternative Damask: I got standard size, ‘soft’.
I like a very soft down pillow and this was about as full as I could use. The ‘medium’ would have been too high for my head or for a child’s head.

Wonderful sleeps abound with this pillow.
Great for someone who sleeps alternating on stomach, side and back. It’s accommodates with softness that fills in where needed but quickly puffs back up to fluffiness.

Ok Pillow
I have purchased these pillows in the past - this time however the pillows have lost their loftiness very quickly. They have become quite flat. Not quite what I was expecting or hoping for.
