Perfect Fit Straight-Leg in Black is Classic Daywe
I went to the Cranston, RI store specifically to try on sizes and am glad that I did. These run a little bit large, so I bought my pair in medium even though I am normally a large. I am 5'6 and the Regular length is just right. It breaks at my instep! I am so pleased with the classic look of these pants. Mine are a dark true black so they look new and sharp. I can dress them down with sporty sneakers to walk the dogs or wear them with loafers or boots for work, church, or out for lunch. Nice daytime choice, and I am very happy with the versatility of these slacks!

Perfect fit pants
I am 5'5" tall, and I don't usually need to order petite pants, but the regular length was much too long for me. I returned the regular pants and reordered in petite, and the petite length fits just fine. Other than the length, the fit of the pants was true to size.

I have been wearing these pants for years. I really like the fit however, they fade within just a few washes. I wish they had the pants that have the stretch waist without pockets. I would have given them a five except for the fading.

Attractive and comfortable pants
The pants were a little long even though they are petites. Otherwise the fit and the fabric are great. They are a spring, fall and winter weight. They would be a little warm for a Florida summer.
I feel that L. L. Bean has maintained a quality that some other major catalog companies have let slip. As a consumer I appreciate this. Thank you.

Overall Very Good

What a waist!

Not the right fit for me
I bought 3 different sizes and unfortunately none were the right fit for my proportions. The PXS was very high in the rise a bit wide in the upper thigh area. I hoped one pair would work, but unfortunately these will be returned.

Stains like crazy!
I've bought four pairs of these pants, and every one except the black has visible stains from food spills. If you're going to buy them, be sure you pretreat all stains with stain remover, and don't put them in the dryer until you're sure it worked!

These are my ‘go to’ pants
These are my most comfortable pants. I bought some years ago and got lots and lots of wear out of them. My old well loved pair have faded from black black to a softer black and are starting to get a little baggy but still great for casual wear. I just re ordered a new pair. So glad LL Bean still makes them, hopefully forever. The fabric is really nice— I wear them into the office but they are comfortable enough to wear at home. I really like that they have pockets — and they are the kind that lay flat and don’t add bulk. I’m also glad they come in tall sizes. These are THE pants for me!!!

New vs Old
I haven’t bought these pants in a few years, but I did notice a difference. They are very nice but the petite seems to run a little longer than it did previously, and I am not crazy about the waistband in these pants. Other than that, they are very nice, well made and comfortable.
