Quality looks great, packaging not so much
Quality of boot looks great. I haven’t worn them out yet. I’m a 7.5, ordered a 7 based on reviews. With thick socks they just fit. 7.5 would have been perfect. 8 probably would have been fine too. So True to Size IMO.
The packaging was bad. The boots are just in the shipping box with no protection or shoe box. The box had been torn open in transit and thankfully the boots were ok. I’d expect better packing with a $300 pair of shoes. Also wish they came laced up. And like others have said, the laces should be at least 6” longer.

Pro and Con boots
My husband bought these boots for me to use in the winter while working on the goat farm. (I am normally in DryShod mud boots) After wearing them for a few days, below are my opinions:
Pros: lighter weight than mud boots, comfortable to walk in,
Cons: The shoe laces are too short (I cannot lace them up the entire way, I have muscular calfs at 4'11" 120lbs.) I cannot get the laces up past the second to top eyelet and that is still very little lace left to tie. I still need to buy new laces, for the price the laces should go all the way up.
Comments: As long as I am moving the boots keep my feet warm in 5deg F weather, if I am sitting my feet get cold.

Great for snowy weather!
I love these boots. I wear size 10.5 and followed the instructions to order an 11 if planning to wear thick socks. I usually wear a size 10 in LL Bean boots but with the shearling lining and thick socks, 11 was the right size. They are great in the snow. I wear them with LL Bean wool socks and my feet stay nice and warm. And yes, we do occasionally get snow here in Texas.

Love them!
I went up half a size as recommended, but it’s slightly too large, however with the inserts, it’s fine. I know the size down would have been too small.

Great warm boots.
I purchased a similar pair last year but returned because I wanted the liner and had ordered them without. Glad I repurchased with liner. These are very warm well made boots.

Chicago Storm Proof Warmth!
I bought these boots for a December trip to Chicago and we ended up being in Chicago for the 2022 "once in a generation storm". It was SO COLD. Wow it was cold and I cannot impress that enough. It was cold cold. But my feet stayed warm. I was absolutely gobsmacked at how warm my feet stayed. Everything else was frozen, but my feet were toasty. And I only had on one pair of cotton socks with them; I didn't even go professional grade and wear wool socks. We spent a lot of time outside - lots of time walking around downtown and sightseeing/marveling at the weather (as people who are not from areas that snow behave) and I truly expected my feet to eventually get cold, but they didn't. These boots are amazing. Truly worth every single penny and excellent value for money.

Great boots …… but watch sizing!
I bought these for my daughter for Christmas (I already have my own pair!). She rides horses and spends many hours at a barn in Utah …… she has told me multiple times how amazing these boots are at keeping her warm and dry. Only thing I wish I had paid more attention to when I bought my pair was the sizing …… you really need to go down a size for them to fit right with regular socks.

Super warm, comfy but consider a sock
An excellent, warm boot. Very comfortable but I had to also wear a thin cotton sock to protect my foot from the break in the shearling where the back stitching goes across. I somehow thought the shearling would cover that, but doesn’t. It’s a bit rough on the inside but the socks did the trick! Excellent boot!

Quite Heavy Boot
I purchased this boot as well as the 8" Shearling-Lined Bean Boot (with the baseball-glove soft leather) a few years ago. I also have several pairs of 8" unlined Bean Boots. I thought at the time that these 10" ones might be useful in some weather because they are taller, but they seem to me so much heavier and clunkier than the 8" boots that I haven't worn them too much. Maybe they do provide more protection if walking in really deep snow, but although I am outside in winter a lot, I find it hard to hike in that much snow even when I have these boots on. Part of the issue could be that I am short (5'3") and older (in my 50's), I guess. But still, these boots were expensive and I think that I would have gotten more use out of a shorter pair. I've never bought a bad pair of Bean Boots though, so it all depends on what you are looking for.

Warm, stylish, comfortable, you can't go wrong!
I love these boots! Most women's shoes are too narrow, but I ordered a wide and they fit perfectly! Warm, stylish, comfortable, you can't go wrong! I've been searching for the perfect winter boot, and after hours of research, I gave these a try. I can wear these out on a winter hike or to run errands- they are my go to winter footwear now!

Absolutely Wonderful
I hit the JACKPOT at L.L. Bean today! Not only did I get exactly what I was hoping to find, but the customer service was amazing! I never could have done it on my own. I am so thankful for Diane, she was like the fairy godmother in Cinderella today, she had all kinds of super great tips about the different styles of boots and helped me find ones that were comfortable and I am so happy with what I purchased. She completely made my day.
I recommend going to the store and asking for help, I tried on LOTS of boots and the sizes that fit had different numbers, plus they all felt really different. The ones I got are both comfortable, sturdy, and surefire warm. I love them.

The best winter boots ever
Living in snowy New England, I've gone through many pairs of winter boots, and these are the best! My pair is four years old and still going strong. I wear them all winter for almost everything - shoveling snow, winter dog walks, sledding, light winter hiking, running errands around town, and even to work on snowy days. I also wear them during mud season (our "spring") through ankle deep puddles of slush and muck. My feet are always warm and dry. They are relatively lightweight for snow boots and not clunky or heavy like Sorels.
I wear them with the shearling insoles, which are sold separately, to keep my feet extra warm. I'm a size 7.5 and wear these in a 7 to accommodate thick warm socks and the shearling insoles.
I think they're cute for snow boots. I like the understated brown-on-brown design and the 10-inch height is perfect. I'm thinking of buying the uninsulated 10-inch boot for warmer rainy days.
The only thing they lack is good traction over ice, but that's true for most boots. I just wear YakTrak with them and I'm good.

Good boots
Very comfortable. A little tight at first, but should easily relax quickly. Of course the weather turned nice as soon as I got them, so they haven’t been properly tested yet.

Best winter boots
These boots are perfect for everything I need in the winter from daycare drop off, to playing in the snow, to long walks. Unlike a lot of other boots, they aren't super heavy, making walking tiresome. I wish I had gotten these sooner

Shearing insulated boots
I found these boots to not be what I expected. The bottom of these boots make your feet extremely cold while walking in snow. I will be returning them.

Details Matter
Love them. Sized down and they fit perfect. So warm and comfy. The laces tho - honestly??? Short and of poor quality. Can’t help but wonder how many negative lace reviews it will take for LLBean to correct this flaw - details matter.

Perfect winter boots for milder days
I bought a pair of these exact boots years ago and loved them. So much so that when they wore out I reordered the same pair. They fit great and are very cozy. I live in northern Minnesota and these are my preferred winter boots when it is a bit more mild or wet. When it gets below 10 degrees I reach for my mukluks, because these aren’t the warmest winter boots out there. The bottom rubber is great for any wet and slushy snow that would be a problem for my mukluks. I also think these boots are so classic and cute. They are made in Maine which is pretty awesome too!!

Wide enough for my flippers for feet !
Only boots that I could find that are wide enough for my feet. I love that they are made in USA, other companies should take a lesson from LL Bean. Great boots. Thanks for great boots!
