Fireplace gloves and then some.
Very nice gloves. If you have long fingers though which I do it can be difficult to grab pieces of wood to put into a wood boiler/stove. These gloves are very well made and are a nice addition to the fireplace ‘workforce’.

Perfect Fireplace Gloves
These Fireplace Gloves are great. My husband uses them multiple times a day when carrying firewood to “feed” our wood stove. The length is perfect and long and the quality is wonderful!

Nice gloves - do the job
Gloves work well. Leather definitely keeps heat out and splinters down. The only complaint is that they are a little short on the arm.

Perfect!
These gloves are perfect for adding and moving logs into the fireplace; they keep the heat from your hands and the long length protects your forearms as well. They are well constructed and sturdy. Five stars!

Best fireplace gloves available
Just received a new pair of fireplace gloves from my daughter this Christmas. She got tired of looking at my last pair of the same gloves that lasted 30 years. Go LLBean!

Great gloves!
Great gloves that make moving logs around a breeze. These gloves enable me to move logs around on the fire without the fear of burning my hands & the longer sleeves mean my forearms are safe too!

Love these gloves!
These gloves are really comfy and keep hands safe from flames when my husband adjusts the fire in the fireplace. They also protect hands well when handling chunks of wood and kindling. Highly recommend

Perfect For Our Wood Stove!
These gloves are amazing. They are holding up much better than our previous pair from another company, and the extra long length means no more burning our arms on the hot metal bars of our stove! They are perfectly insulated and very durable, and they look fantastic. I can tell we will have these for a long time.

High quality and made in Wisconsin!
Looking forward to fireplace season with these high quality extra long fireplace gloves. Made in WI, what's not to love? They fit both my husband's large hands well and my smaller hands.

Fantastic Gloves
These gloves are on another level. These are just so much better than all my previous fireplace gloves.
We run a wood stove all winter so I bought the long gloves. Now that’s protection! I’m looking forward to many years of good use.

Beautiful, comfortable, essential gloves!
Very pleased with the LONG version of these gloves...thick, soft lining...enough length to put your hand/arm through the top opening of the wood stove to clean out the ash. You can hang new gloves outside and/or in the garage for a few weeks to let the smell of the new materials air out. Excellent product.

Excellent product
You can literally pick up a burning log with these. My husband has had a pair for almost 40 years and they are as good as new—just dirty. Bought these for son-in-law. Just as good only cleaner.

Inside fabric is NOT plaid!
The gloves are lovely, they fit nicely and are of good quality. However the fabric on the inside is solid red, not plaid which drew me to purchase them.

A step down from Bean's old fireplace gloves
My previous LL Bean fireplace gloves lasted ~25 years before developing a couple of holes in the fingertips, so I had high hopes for the new gloves. Unfortunately, I don't like the new ones as well their predecessors for two reasons: (1) they're smaller - I have pretty large hands, and it's a very snug fit, and (2) they're much lighter in color (see photo, new gloves on the right). The LL Bean catalog portrays them as two-tone with the sleeve being lighter, but in fact they're lighter throughout, and the light color shows the ash and soot a lot more than the dark color.
In addition, after I wear the gloves, my hands smell, and it's not a very pleasant smell. I assume that with time, this will go away.
Bottom line: the gloves appear to be durable (time will tell), and they should do the job, but given the premium price LL Bean charges, I was expecting more (i.e., the same quality as last time around).

Great for woodstove
Absolutely amazing. The best fire gloves we've ever owned. Plush inside and soft leather outside. My husband is a giant and they are the first gloves I've ever seen him wear that look like they actually fit his hands. My hands are small and thin and I still feel like I can handle wood effectively. We use these for hard-core woodstove use 6 months out of the year here in Maine, and so far we're really loving these.

Worth every penny
I have to admit I really thought long and hard about spending $119 for these gloves, did I really need a nice looking, supple glove to protect my hands and arms from this demon of a wood stove? After all, we already had 3 pair of incredibly unsatisfying to use and terribly ugly gloves in the house. These gloves are a dream, comfortable to pull on, enough give so that you can actually feel and grasp the wood you are picking up and plenty of protection not only to get the blasted wood in the stove but enough protection that you can literally PLACE the wood nicely right where you want it rather than tossing it and praying. So if you’re thinking of making the move for some really, really nice fireplace/wood stove gloves, I say do it, I’m glad I did.
