Hole after less than a week
I had a pair of these socks that lasted for years. They recently wore out. I ordered this new pair in gray, size medium. They’re warm and comfortable but I haven’t even had them for a week and a hole has developed underneath one of the socks. I am very disappointed considering my last pair lasted much longer.

Nuce and toasty!
Love these socks. Do well in cold winters in Northern MN. Wore at work all summer too without feet sweating! However, buy 1 size up as shrink, though I do wash in hot water. Do NOT put through dryer or shrink an additional size. Air dry instead.

Favorite wool socks!
These are the best warm socks for winter! I originally purchased for trip to Finland to wear in boots for outdoor activities, but they are now my favorite go-to sock at home during winter in Massachusetts. They keep feet so warm, and are very breathable natural fibers. There is zero itchiness too.

Feel Good But Wear Out Quickly
I bought this pair to replace a pair of the same socks bought some time ago. I like them enough to buy them again even though the earlier pair wore out in the heel MUCH faster than other socks. They are heavy enough that they only work with shoes with some extra room, but that is to be expected.

Charcoal color is closest to black!
I love these socks! All the LL Bean merino ragg wool socks wear the same. They fit great and feel great and last about 3 years. I air dry them, but I've accidentally dried them in the dryer, and they're still fine. They are soft and NOT itchy at all. And warm--so cozy and warm. I wear them over half the year for everything (except weddings...)--sometimes i put them on over my summer no-shows at home when the AC just feels too cold.
I use the Charcoal grey since it is closest to black and half my pants wardrobe is black. My original pairs were navy and black. I really wish you would bring back black!!! Yes, they are pricey, but so very worth it!

Look at that price
I’ve been wearing these for years, love them, they kinda keep my cold feet warm. And I’ve been buying them the same two pack. I just grabbed my last bunch I had. I musta bought them about two or three years ago. My shock, was the tag is still on them, $19.95. They have doubled in the two or three years. Shame on LL Bean.

Deceptively Stiff and Scratchy
Do NOT like these. They look soft and fluffy, but these wool socks do not feel like Merino wool. They are stiff and hot, and my feet always get irritated and hot after wearing these for a few hours. They feel cheap. Cannot wear these. PASS
