Which one is for rivers and creeks?
Read a review on both paddles offered by Bean… one review said that his was better suited for lakes based off the description from manufacturer. So I, ever the river paddler bought the other one (also named after a river) west branch. Gets here and has a different name given by the maker than what bean uses for marketing. Says better for open lake water? I suppose no matter what the 3rd party ships what they want or just a general misrepresentation by bean on the website. Sucky but I will still use the paddle when and where I can. Just not what I needed and feel misled.

A nice light weight paddle with good ergonomics.
I bought this paddle to use with my Old Town solo canoe. It’s a very light paddle with a comfortable palm that’s very comfortable and I was especially happy with the weight of the paddle on a 5 hour paddle down the Shenandoah River.

Canoe Equipment paddle
Good price. I needed a second back up paddle as I have custom made paddles and was looking for one that would be affordable and a good American made product. This fits the bill nicely. Sweeps my Hidden Pond nicely. Sales man in Freeport store very helpful in sizing it up as well. While there bought tie down package as well and used my accumulated bean bucks to pay for it all!

Very comfortable!
Great paddles- we have two. The handle is very comfortable and it is lightweight compared to other wooden paddles. Very sturdy in whitewater and scraping against rocks in shallow water. I have used it in the Kenduskeag canoe race and 6 days canoeing the Allagash river.
