Product Details
Our legendary Maine-made Bean Boot. Built for the road less traveled by "L.L." himself in 1912 and keeping feet comfortable ever since.
Whoever says, "they don't build things like they used to," doesn't own a pair of these. Our signature boots are still sewn right here in Maine - one pair at a time - by expert craftspeople whose technical skills and passion for their work is evident in every pair they make. As rugged and hardworking as they were over 100 years ago, chances are you'll only ever need one pair.
- Waterproof full-grain leather upper sheds rain and snow.
- Iconic triple-needle stitching provides long-lasting durability.
- Legendary chain-tread outsole gives reliable traction.
- Waterproof rubber boot bottom keeps feet dry.
- Uniquely shaped foot form offers comfort and stability, and a steel shank adds support.
- Lace-up design provides secure and customizable fit. Laces not waterproof.
- Not designed to stay submerged in water.
- Best for rain, mud and other wet conditions.

Very pleased
Very well crafted. (Thank you Rob.) I am a woman with size 11 feet (men’s 9 1/2). I am glad I ordered size 9 boots for the length. I put in an extra set of inner soles to make up for average weight socks.

Men's 8" Bean boots in turquoise
Just love these boots! I am in my 7th decade and have always wanted a pair of these. Top quality, handmade by "Rachel". Love the color, too. Bought the equivalent in men's sizes when I saw the color and the sale price. They came in handy this January with the Virginia snow!

Teal and Orange..oh yeah!!
I needed a new pair of LL Bean boots for the winter. I purchased a pair of teal and orange soles when they went on sale. So happy with them and put them to work in our first snowfall. They were up to the task and so stylish!! Thanks LL Bean…John

Slippery when wet
I know these are legendary American made footwear and I have always wanted them for function rather than fashion. But MAN these are some slippery boots and I haven’t tried them in mud, slush or snow yet. I have almost fallen a few times walking along various transitions among concrete and wood surfaces. I can’t imagine what would happen having them muddy or slushy in such a situation. Buyer beware.

Quality, Consistency and Great Value
I bought my first pair of Bean Boots when I was 18 years old—55 years ago. I now own a pair of 12”, one pair of 8”-both uninsulated and an 8” pair lined with sheepskin. Yeah, I’m a Bean man, my father was a Bean man as was his father. You can’t go wrong with LL Bean…or their Bean Boots.
Thanks to you all at LL Bean👍👍!

My go-to boots for any weather
Fantastic boots for anything from trekking through muddy woods to shuffling down snowy sidewalks or splashing in puddles with my toddler! Purchased the unlined and uninsulated style for year-round wear. Even in winter snow my feet stay warm with a pair of Darn Tough wool socks (as long as I’m not out for hours). I usually wear a size 9D boot so I got an 8D Bean Boot and the fit is perfect. After a year of wear they are holding up fantastically and I anticipate many more years to come!

Great Boot!
I have a pair of 34 year old tan and brown Maine Hunting Shoe (boots), resoled once, and which still serve me well. The teal upper and orange sole on my new boots are fun and cheery, and I look forward to wearing them when we head up to Mammoth to ski and when we (finally) get rain here in SoCal. I wear 10 1/2 D, ordered 10, and with a pair of thick cotton socks, which is all I need to stay warm here in California with its mild-to-moderate weather, the boots fit perfectly.

Great boots
Better than expected. These are perfect for wet slushy snows and also stomping my way through wet areas near our mountain streams. I expect these boots will enhance my fishing experience. And at least I’ll have happy feet when I’m shoveling snow!

When I saw the color combo of these boots…
I had to buy a pair! Then, the boots arrived and once I put them on, I noticed the pebbled soft thick uppers and the extra comfort in the rubber bottoms. In other words, the typical LLBean attention to every boot they make. Because they are such different colors, it’s impossible to wear them and not having them noticed. They are fun to wear with jeans or a bit more formal, as it has been raining for a few days. In case you need another reason to get your own pair? They are on sale! Grab them before they are sold out!

Great Boots Laces Too Small
Great boots but the diameter of the laces is too small and soft for quality boots like these.

Great boots
Love wearing these boots when the ground is wet or when it is raining. I normally wear a 9 or 9 1/2 EE in other brands but I purchased these in a 8EE and they fit perfectly. And, they are surprisingly comfortable. Only drawback is that I have to loosen the laces before slipping them on. But, once on they are not tight in the ankle.

Bean Boots for Warm Weather
Needed a warm weather boot for yard work. Fits the need very well. Comfortable to wear, usually without lacing through topmost eyelets. Easy to put on and take off. As stated by LL Bean, these are a full size smaller than my usual for footwear.

Why can't LL Bean size like their other shoes?
Sizing is, of course, weird. Too long and too narrow for standard size. I just tighten the laces and they're ok. If I find out these have been glued and not "hand stitched" (as some reviews have shown), I better get a refund, regardless of time...

New Pair of Bean Boots
Bean Boots are always of the highest quality. The only reason a new pair was needed is my son outgrew his previous pair - which we have handed down. This new pair will be around for a long time. They'll be among the items back to move to college.

Warm dry feet!
The boots are as usual up to L.L. Bean's quality control standards!!! Got one size up so could use two pairs of socks and polartec boot liners here in Alaska. Used the boots while cutting wood yesterday in a foot of snow, warm feet.

Excellent boots
These boots are excellent. I bought them two sizes smaller because they do run very large. There was a problem with the leather on one, and the Bean repairs people took care of the problem. They're even more comfortable than my (more expensive) Blundstone boots.

Still a good boot
Boots look good and are comfortable although they run large. i have an older pair of boots size 13, ordered size 12 and the 12's are longer than the 13's. This makes it hard to order the correct size.

Happy with my boots
I have wanted a pair of Bean Boots for years and finally went for it. Beautifully crafted. Ordered my usual size, but they were too large. Returned for 1 size smaller and, with comfy thick sock, they fit just right. (See the size/fit tab) Nice for walking, and lighter than I expected.
Not a deal breaker, but the quality of the shoe laces is inferior. They started to show signs of failure after a few wears.

Great Boot
I love this boot. It is comfortable to wear while running errands or on walks. I ordered a wide and my shoe size. The boot fits a little large but I am still very happy with it.
