Our premium ultrasoft cotton flannel robe, in just the right weight to stay warm and cozy without overheating.
An L.L.Bean exclusive, our plush flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.
- Authentic yarn-dyed tartans stay vibrant and colorful.

Very thin
This is the thinnest flannel I’ve ever felt. Low quality tie feels like it will break when you tie it. Very disappointed in this. The embroidering is the only thing that looks okay and even then some of the strands are loose. I could have made a nicer one myself and I haven’t sewed since high school.

Nice robe but a little thin fabric for the price
Nice robe, arrived smelling horrible like mildew or something I’m guessing from the warehouse it was stored in. It took a few washes to get rid of the smell. Material is also thinner than I think it should be for the price, but my husband does love his gift. Def overpriced even as an llbean lover.

Finally, quality men's loungewear
Great gift for my tall son. It is hard to find quality clothing for him. This robe is well made, soft, and so comfy for cold winter nights, but also light enough that it can be worn year round. Most importantly, the sleeves and length are perfect for his 6'5" frame. (2XLT)

Material of Poor Quality
I returned it. Not happy with the quality of the material. It is thin and the flannel feel is very poor. I don't buy from LL Bean anymore, because that is usually my experience now. The pattern was attractive and the design, but without a good quality material, it's not something I want.

Great Flannel Robe
My husband needed a new robe and it had to be flannel. He had worn holes and rips in his old one. I tried one prime site but finding nothing suitable, I thought of L. L. Bean for the exact robe I had in mind! Of course the style, quality fabric, and selection was perfect for the need! He LOVES it! He’s a happy man strutting around in his new flannel robe.

Makes it easy to stay warm in shorts and tee, then just drop it when I'm hot or going back to bed. Yes on my of days or working from home it may be just my flannel boxes, a tee, and this robe from sunrise to sunset. Don't shame me.

This is a great robe. Plenty of room and warm cotton flannel with a breast pocket. Department store brands have skipped the breast pocket lately, but I find it very useful. Hip pockets are also well sized.

My boyfriend likes that there is ample room to overlap the front of the robe across his body; once secured with the belt, it provides good coverage. The flannel is warm but not too heavy and bulky, which suits him perfectly. He loves flannel shirts, so this robe gives him that same comfort for lounging. I'm glad the robe has side pockets; the chest pocket is an added bonus as he likes to slip his phone into the chest pockets of his shirts, so now he can do the same when wearing his robe (I assume the phone fits; I have not confirmed that).

Third flannel robe I’ve bought
I’m sewing flannel patches onto the elbow’s of the third robe that I’ve bought for my husband. The thin flannel wore through. Love the look but the flannel of the 2nd and 3rd robes are thinner than the vintage 1st robe. Still his favorite bathrobe.

My signature robe
I am a woman who has bought these robes for myself many times; at least five times I would guess. I have several robes but an LLBean flannel robe is the one I wear most often; three seasons yearly and inside when the air-conditioning is too much in summer. I find myself stepping on the hem when wearing a long robe going up the stairs so this length is perfect. I roll the sleeves and find the fit is perfect. It's one of the few articles of clothing I own that I cannot imagine not having. Truly one of my favorite LLBean items! I would agree with a previous poster that the flannel is thinner than in years past. It's still nice, but it won't last as long as robes I have owned previously. It's not as warm. I hope Bean will use the previous weight next year. I've given this review four stars rather than five for this reason. If it's not broke, don't fix it! I would still highly recommend this robe...for men or women. Worth mentioning, I've also purchased this robe for gift-giving at least four times. A quality product.
