Product Details

Long loved for their waterproof protection and tough-as-nails durability, our Storm Chaser slip-ons are now better than ever. Our softest midsole provides exceptional cushioning while the updated outsole offers even more all-weather traction and stability.

  • Order regular shoe size. (For half sizes not offered, order up to next whole size).

Our designers took our customer-favorite all-weather slip-ons and made them better than ever before. They added a supremely cushioned B-Bound® midsole for more comfort, and a luggier VertiGrip outsole for improved traction in foul conditions. What hasn't changed is the tough-as-nails durability our Storm Chasers are known for.

  • PFC/PFAS-free durable water repellent (DWR).
  • Weather Protection: Waterproof leather upper with TEK2.5® waterproof membrane and rubberized toe
  • Additional Features: Padded mesh collar for added comfort
  • Traction: Lugged VertiGrip rubber outsole
  • Easy On/Off: Heel pull tab and molded heel clip
  • Cushioning: Supersoft B-Bound® midsole plus True Cushioned molded-EVA footbed
  • Warmth: Cozy fleece lining
  • Waterproof to just below the collar.
  • Best for rain, mud, and damp conditions.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from storm chaser shoes These are FANTASTIC! ! ! They were a little snug at first, but they stretched to fit my shoe size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shoe comfort I returned the shoes because they were too stiff. Not flexible for me. Be aware that the material that is inserted in the shoe at the factory is almost impossible to remove. I had to resort to using strong pliers to remove stuffing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable Winter All Terrain Shoe! Looking for a winter shoe that didn’t look like I just came in from the barn (I already have too many of those!) and these are perfect fit, style and comfort. I wear a medium width and needed a secure fit which these provide. I needed a shoe that provided safe traction to either walk down to the mailbox or out among the dogs, and could stand up to mud, rain, ice and snow. I also wanted a heel that didn’t interfere with my knee joints and lower back; again, these shoes accommodated all these issues. Finally, I require good arch support, and the footbed does not aggravate my plantar fasciitis. I added alpaca wool felt foot liners for warmth, and there is enough room in the toe box and heel to allow for the inserts. I did not have any difficulty with slipping the shoes on nor off, however, you may wish to purchase a shoe horn to make it easier to slip your heel inside the footbed if you have mobility issues. The secure fit around the ankle protects the footbed from snow or ice entering the shoe. I consider it a marvel in design and function! LL Bean never disappoints when it comes to footwear!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nope! If you like the older style don't buy these. I normally never do reviews BUT I own an older pair of Storm Chasers that I love. They have been great work shoes. Lots of miles. Mostly yard/garden work and especially wet/muddy conditions. They are still great, but material wearing out around the top at the heel area. Decided to purchase a back-up pair. Nope! Bought the same size and this redesign is awful. Shoe is longer, bulkier & heavier, but simultaneously tighter all around foot, could hardly get on (no longer slip on without hands like my previous pair). Foot opening much smaller than my older pair. Very tight all around my ankles and I have small, slim ankles. After comparing my old vs new pair storm chasers, there is no reason to get a bigger size. That's not gonna help this poor design. LLBean ruined a great design and now I have to pay to send shoes back. Total bummer!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from They are very hard to put on, not like old ones, plus as a previous reviewer wrote..not fan of pointed toe, old ones were better looking

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Storm Chaser boots. I love these Storm Chaser boots. I like the ones with the rounded toe. Not a fan of the newer version with narrow toe box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking for. I received these this week and have already put many miles on them. First, let me explain that I have bunions on both feet, so my toe box has to be a bit wider without having to order wide sizes. They can be too sloppy. These fit me perfectly. I walk to work and home, approximately a 3 mile round trip, and wanted something with serious tread and waterproof for North Eastern Oregon winters. So, the first time I wore them, it was for the work-walk and they were comfortable. I also wear them in my barn with the horses, and they are perfect, and will be until I’m slogging through a few feet of snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these boots This is my third pair of Storm Chasers. They aren't meant to be fashion boots, as one reviewer seemed to think, they are for working in inclement weather. I wear these boots for barn chores. They work for most seasons in the horse barn, keeping my feet dry and warm, while also giving me great footing. Each pair has give me years of service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful boots These boots are great for doing lawn work. Also when it’s raining outside. Very comfortable. Both my husband and I love these boots. This is my second pair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn’t like them I knew the shoes were pretty ugly when I ordered them, I did not expect them to be so horribly uncomfortable. Taking them back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hard to get on, leather not supple This shoe is difficult to "slip" on. Probably more difficult because I have a high arched foot. Once on, the leather around the ankle is unyielding and hard. Not comfortable. I have a normal ankle circumference, maybe even a bit petite, so there is no excuse for it! I ordered a 7.5 wide. I wear 7 or 7.5, not always wide (only if available).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice looking shoe Could not put it on. First, I could not get the paper stuffing out of the shoe; so I placed my stocking foot on the underside of the shoe instead. The top of the shoe was 4 inches longer than my foot. This shoe was a size 6Med.which is what I wear in any type of shoe. I also tried a pair of plyers to get the paper stuffing out. No luck...returned.
