Keep your receipt… just in case
Bought this backpack in September for my 7th grader to haul his binder and laptop to school everyday. By January the top handle broke. I was so fortunate to have found the receipt so I could exchange for a new one in-store and was fortunate to have found the last one still on the shelf. Nice bag with lots of pockets
This bag is a little bit smaller than my previous bookbag, but it's working out OK and fits more snugly against my back. I think when I am on the bus it's better because it doesn't stick out as much. I just wish the very front pocket would be longer as there are some things I would like to carry there that don't fit. I do like that the pockets start about the same height, it makes it look more smooth. There is a zipper pocket inside one of the other pockets that is too low when the pocket it's inside is full, would like that zipper closer to the top of that section, but the pocket itself is a good size for stashing things like masks, which is what I am using it for. I mainly use this bag for commuting to and from work, and with another bag for grocery shopping.

As sturdy as I remember from my own childhood

Amazing Bags
I have trusted LL Bean Backpacks since I was a young kid. They are made to last. I purchased each of my children a backbck in middle school and it lasted through graduation. My youngest grew bored of her current backpack and wanted this one desperately. She received and loved it. Quality is superior to other bags. Worth the cost. Only negative was bright blue interior of this particular bag that she does not like, but she will get over it.

Perfect Backpack!
I bought it for my sophomore year of high school and it fits everything and more! Even with all of my school supplies in it, it still has so much more room and it doesn’t look bulky at all.
