We've improved our most popular duffle, loved since 1996 for its travel-tough durability, fun colors and great price. Now made of 100% recycled fabrics, with a new U-shaped zipper that opens wider for easier access. New 70L size is one of our most versatile, and added by customer request.
Introducing our best-ever Adventure Duffle, redesigned using customer feedback, product reviews and tests from our own in-house lab. We chose a rugged fabric that's 100% recycled--and just as strong as before. Next, we packed it with improvements, including a wider opening, more comfortable shoulder strap and a new storage pouch you can use as a packing cube while traveling. Available in sizes and colors for every member of the family!
- Waterproof fabrics. Zippers and seams not waterproof.
- Coated interior for added weather protection; tested for 24 hours in our deep freeze with no signs of cracking, flaking or peeling.
- PFC/PFAS-free durable water repellent (DWR).
- Fabrics are made from recycled plastic bottles; this 70L bag uses 27 plastic bottles.
- 100% recycled 600-denier polyester on body, with 100% recycled 1000-denier polyester on base that's twice as abrasion resistant for added durability.
- Spot clean.
- Grab handles at either end for easy maneuvering, with low-profile lash points.
- New U-shaped zippered opening offers 50% more access to contents inside.
- Roomy main compartment.
- Zipper flap adds weather protection.
- Redesigned storage pouch can be used as a packing cube while traveling, and to store duffle between uses.

Very nice
This is a very nice duffle bag. It's sturdy and holds plenty of gear. It's bigger than I thought; I doubt it will fit as carry-on luggage if it is filled, however

Off to College
My oldest grandson started college this fall. When I asked what he’d like for his birthday in August, he told me he wanted the LLBean duffel bag. He was very happy to get it. That made me happy. He likes it a lot! I would recommend it for teenage boys.

Perfect Size
This duffle is the perfect size for travel. It's durable and doesn't let water in. At least that was my experience as we took it on our pontoon boat. It was roomy and the color I bought, a royal blue is so pretty. It's easy to carry with the shoulder strap. I'm very happy with it and bought an XL and a Medium also.

Such a disappointment!
Attractive and a good size — but not waterproof! And no wheels, so completely impractical.
I used this for one trip, and am now getting rid of it. Such a disappointment.

Great duffle!
The 70L Adventure Duffle appears very durable and well made, and is also attractive. The LL Bean logo doesn't bother me at all. As somewhat of an overpacker, the 70L size is a bit too small for a 7 day summer mountain vacation, but perfect for a 5 day trip to a consistantly warmer climate. I used the bag that it comes packaged in to carry a pair of sneakers and of crocs. I would buy this bag again.

I bought one for my son two years ago, he loved it. Wanted to buy one for my daughter now, but after these review on sizing, huge logo….in ad, bags are described by days (which is actually helpful) but when you go in, it’s in liters???
I’m getting her a Vera Bradley bag. So disappointing.

Great bag, but update missed the mark
I’ve been buying these bags as gifts for decades, and the latest design is a step backward. What I love: super tough, very well made, will last for decades, monogrammable to add a personal touch. What I don’t like: New fabric is heavier.
There are 5 sizes described in Liters, but they took away the descriptors (mine in parentheses): 135L (Enormous), 95L (Extra Large), 70L (Large), 35L (Small) and 20L (Extra Small). I miss the medium size. The large is too big to fit as an airline carryon, and the Small is half the size of the Large, not practical as an all-around travel duffel. Also, they made the shoulder strap too big to fit comfortably in the front zipper pocket. Overall, it's still a great duffel, but it went from 5 stars to 4.
