One of my favorites
I have a lot of polos … always looking for the elusive best combination. This gets pretty close. It’s cool for summer but not thin which is a nice trick.
Please offer some more interesting (brighter) colors and even some fun prints!

Nice shirts, but…

No horse or mallet needed--wear to brunch instead.
Best polo I've found for a while. Used to be RL Polo all the way, but these are priced well, better fit and fab fabric. Looks finished and works with casual /shorts or would wear under a blazer. Wear the white one a lot, a little less crazy about the end-on-end blue. Think it's the best of the Bean polo selections. (If you want a bit more length in sleeve and tail, go for Tall).

Perfect fit for small build

Fantastic shirt
Purchased for a trip to Mexico, the summer, and the office. The fit is fantastic as it's light and extremely comfortable. The styling is really nice and a bit more modern/updated for LLBean. It was great in heat and humidity and I can't wait to order more colors.

Purchased 2 shirts - same size etc except color. They were made in Peru - they were not the same LJD - 1/2 plus inch difference in width. Not the LL Bean of old.

Disappointment. A previous favorite hollowed out.
Very disappointing. Purchased an earlier version of this shirt five years ago. Was excellent then. This generation’s version very flimsy. The material was paper thin and uncomfortable. Returned them immediately. Either raise then price a bit to keep the quality or stop selling the item

Great hot weather shirt
I live in Florida and when I got this shirt the fist time it was a 90 plus degree day and this was the most comfortable shirt including my golf shirts for keeping comfortable in hot weather.Shirt is very easy to care for just wash it and put it on a hanger and it’s ready to ware no ironing. It’s such a great shirt that I ordered another and hope they in add some new colors.

Collars are different

Best polo of this style you can buy
This is an excellent shirt, and I think the best polo that LL Bean makes. I have some of the Double L polos, and they have their place. But this shirt is extremely nice. The clutch feature is the collar that retains its shape, combined with the very light weight material which doesn't wrinkle. It's light like an adventure shirt, but it doesn't look too "relaxed." This is a perfect shirt for golf, church, or "business casual" at work. It goes well with a sport jacket, or with a pair of khaki shorts. I like this shirt better than the comparable one's I own from Peter Millar that cost 3 times as much. I hope in the future that LL Bean expands the color/pattern selection - I would like to buy more in light Spring colors or small patterns (horizontal pinstripe, etc.).

Upgrade your polos.
Pretty impressive modern polo. Great weight and finish fabric--soft, but enough heft to not feel cheap or too synthetic. Hangs properly from shoulders, modern cut, a little trimmer but still roomy enough for average dad bod. I ordered a second one in tall, for a little extra length at tail and in sleeves (6'2+255lbs)--individual preference I think. This will work in almost any spring/summer event from bbq to golf or evening nicer dinner. Like the flat collar and finished look.

Lightweight, soft feel, great collar, good fit.
I've bought three of these. The fabric is a soft, lightweight blend, and I like the slightly fitted design - many polo shirts can seem like I'm wearing a big , baggy, tent.These are what I plan to wear to the office all summer. The collar also has held up very well so far - I've had enough polo shirts to appreciate how well the collar stays in place and doesn't curl up on the corners. My only complaint is that I wish this came in navy and some other colors.

Performance Fabric without looking too techy
I was looking for a nice looking polo that was a little lighter weight than your standard polo (it gets warm down here in the South), but I didn't want a polo that just out and out screams performance material. Knowing the quality of LL Bean polos, and having purchased several of the standard polos, I was quite intrigued when I saw the email advertising the "Stretch Performance Short Sleeve Polo" as I have come to appreciate a little stretch in my clothes to accommodate my, um, thicker build (and especially when the fit is the slightly fitted fit). All in all I have to say I am very happy with my purchase (I bought the vintage indigo, the faded black, and the lake colors) as these polos definitely seem to be living up to my expectations. The material is nice and thin, but the weave on the fabric gives the impression of a much more substantial fabric and also looks a little dressier than the sun smart polo (of which I also own several shirts). Against the skin the polo feels great and the weave of the fabric suggests that it should breathe quite nicely once the temperatures really start to get up there. The fit is also dead on for a nice not too slim, not too loose profile that nicely bridges the gap between casual and office attire. As far as the colors go, I was a little nervous ordering the faded black as it was hard to tell if it would be closer to gray in color, or closer to black, but I am quite happy with it as the color ended up being a slightly darker gray color than your standard heather gray, but not so dark that I am worried about roasting in the sun. Heck, I liked these polos so much I actually ordered another of the vintage indigo polos to wear when the other is in the wash (or when I inevitably spill something on it).
