I had 4 pieces of an earlier version of this gown. I love it but this time the fabric is less soft and the patterns are less interesting. I miss the attention to quality from a few years ago.

Daybreak NIghtgown blue check
I love this nightgown. It's cool and comfortable and non clingy for summer but substantial enough to wear around the house in the morning without being see through. There is a slight stretch to the fabric that makes it comfortable to sleep in. Pockets are a big plus. It washes and dries and comes out of the dryer with minimal wrinkling. I got a size small which gives a bit more room since I would normally wear XS. I highly recommend!

Nice for humid weather.
Runs large, and at first, feels like a no-iron blouse. After a few washings, it is softer. The arm holes are quite large (I either wear a cami or a robe with it). The on-seam pockets are handy.

I like it, but not for everyone
Amazingly soft. Reminds me of an old-fashioned house dress, which is kind of retro. I am 5’7” and it comes to my ankles. There are pockets, which I love, but they are quite low, and I have long arms.
I am keeping, but the sizing needs adjusting.

Great!
I recently bought this nightgown in the white color and I am very pleased with it.
It is lovely while being both cool and comfortable. I appreciate that it is sleeveless and falls below the knee. I am grateful that it is 97% cotton (100% cotton would have been better as I don't feel that the 3% spandex is necessary.)
The inside seams are comfortable, and not noticeable or scratchy while wearing.
It has washed well although I do hang it to dry. Unfortunately many LL Bean cotton items shrink in the dryer and I wanted to be on the safe side. It does dry very quickly.
I bought the medium which at 5'5" tall and 135-140 pounds fits me perfectly. I am happy that the nightgown also has unobtrusive side pockets. Another reviewer said the pockets were oddly placed; they are placed perfectly fine for me.
This morning, I just ordered another nightgown in the blue and white check. I don't love the check as much as the white but it will be nice to have another of these attractive, quite comfortable, cool and breezy summer nightgowns on hand.
L.L. Bean: please come up with more color options. In my opinion, solids are better than prints. A solid light blue and/or a solid navy blue would be good additions. If you make it in one of those colors, I will buy a third.

pockets in weird place
If you are under 5'5 this will not fit. pockets were at my mid thigh. Please make for petites. I did love the fabric. Would be great for summer. Maybe lose the pockets and it will fit more people.

Nice fabric sizing not for me
I just got this nightgown and I was so excited to get it because of the lightweight fabric for the summer. When I tried it on the top of the gown was huge and baggy and then it was tight around my hips. It's so unfortunate that the sizing was off. It's going back.

Pretty summer nightgown
This is a lovely extremely lightweight cotton fabric nightgown, but I was looking for a lightweight cotton jersey, this is not the fabric type I personally needed. That said, it is extra roomy, pretty, summery, has pockets and no doubt perfect for hot or muggy weather.
I returned mine, bought the 3/4 sleeve cotton jersey nightgown instead. Still looking for a featherweight cotton jersey nightgown.
