I had high expectations
This shirt would have been perfect but it is just too heavy and thick for a swimsuit cover up. It is not gauze and light weight. I wished it would have been lighter then I would have loved it!!

Thrilled to find this coverup at an LL Bean store. I love the material/fabric and the color. The length is good (mid-thigh). I ordered a larger size because I found the arms kinda tight but I like the long sleeves. I used it after swimming and it worked out great. Buttons are good. The coverup washes well.

Gauzy Beach Coverup
I ordered the petite small, but received the small. Maybe it didn't come in the petite and I misunderstood the cashier at the store. Anyhow, the sleeves are way too long and won't stayed rolled up. It makes for a sloppy look. Since I often wear a small regular without a problem, I think the sleeve length is unusual.

Gauze swimsuit cover-up.
Love this coverup. It is cool, lightweight, and comfortable. Easy to wash and dry. I am 5'3" weight 125 lbs and I purchased a size Med--I am size 10/12 and the fit is perfect. Not too big and not too small. The length is comfortable--not too long and not too short.

Totally shapeless
I really wanted to like this because I've been searching for a beach/pool cover-up not made of polyester. Unfortunately, even after sizing down from my usual size, there was no way I would wear this. It is cut so boxy that I can't imagine it looking good on anyone other than someone tall and slender - which is not me. The quality is good, as L.L. Bean usually is (the only reason I gave this two stars instead of one), but the styling leaves everything to be desired. I tried this and the cover-up dress, and both are being returned for the same reason.

This is a lovely shirt. I wanted to use it as a layer over a sleeveless dress, or pants/skirt. I thought the fabric was hot, and the color is just a bit off black. So I lost my summer vibe. Just because it was not for me does not mean it will not be a favorite for someone else.
