Perfect for Me
Just what I wanted, a slip on boot that is perfect for going out for the paper in the snowy weather. Not insulated, so t's not for cold hikes, but perfect for quick in and outs. Runs a little large, so consider a half or full size smaller.

Comfortable and great flexibility
Comfortable all day with easy on/off flexibility. Great for wearing all day or the quick walk out to feed the deer and birds. Exactly what I was looking for in a boot for moderate snow depth and of course the LL Bean quality.

Not a great design
Ankle is very loose, odd style and didn’t feel like they would be secure on my feet

Sizing of Bean Boots
Buyer beware. If you have a narrow foot be prepared to wear heavy/extra heavy socks, even then you will experience heal slip. The boots are of excellent quality but LL Bean needs to go back to the original narrow sizing offers of the original Bean Boot, as not everyone has feet classified as wide or extra wide.

Nice boot accept for the loose heel.
The boot fit ok being a half size smaller than my normal 9 1/2. The only issue I have is that the heel does not fit snug in the boot. It is loose and slides up and down while walking causing the boot heel to drop and drag each step.

No ankle support
Echoing everyone’s sentiments about how loose the boots are at the ankle. There’s no purpose for the elastic material because it’s so loose. I ended up returning.

Wear like slippers
Perhaps I bought the wrong size or wrong item but these feel very loose. As I walk my heel rises rubbing the inside of the boot. Otherwise the boots are nice and well made.

Sad fit and support.
Fit was not good, very poor support around ankle. So sad, I loved this type of boot from llbean for years.

Large sizing
I ordered a size down than normal shoe size. The boot is way too big. Going to send back and try boot 2 sizes down

Nice boot but be careful of the size
It is a great boot to slip into quickly but runs big and loose on size. I normally wear a 9 ½ or 10. I returned one pair of 9’s that were just too loose, and now have a size 8. They still slip a bit in the heel, but they now feel good to wear. And there is still room for heavy socks.

Good idea, poor execution
My wife bought these for me for Christmas and I was excited because I'd been wanting a pair of waterproof boots/shoes that I could slip on when I needed to go outside in wet or cold weather to take out the trash or check the mail. Unfortunately, the fit on these boots is so horrendous they're going back. She followed the sizing guidance and got a full size smaller, and the lower fits well enough, but the upper is so sloppy it's difficult to walk even a short distance in them. Would not recommend.

Terrible fit
I’m usually an 11, so I ordered a size 10 for these at first, still too big so I ordered a 9. These boots fit terrible. Length is right but the fit on the heel and ankle doesn’t exist. For my foot they are impossible to walk in, I don’t understand why they make these.

My new Chelsea men's boots
I take a size 12 shoe and purchased these in size 11 as instructed to do....one size below my shoe size. They are OK but still a little loose. I prefer a shoe/boot that "fits like a glove". They are also rather poorly padded. Their grip on snow and even some ice is outstanding however, and they are very easy to slip on and off. I would purchase them again.

Floppy on foot
My husband is usually a 12-13 shoe. I bought him the 13 Chelsea. He has a wide foot so I usually buy a 13 in boots. This was incredibly floppy around the top. The shape did not keep, it just looked awful. They had to go back.

Excellent boot - size down 1
I absolutely love these boots! They are so comfortable, warm and convenient! Like my Bean Boots in lace up, they run a FULL SIZE BIG, so size yourself accordingly. Also, last year before I got them, I read a few reviews that people were saying even after they got proper size, they didn't like them for hiking, etc. This boot is not designed for that, if you want to use your new boots for hiking, get one of the lace up models. These boots are made for convenience of having NO laces and highly waterproof. So - I wear them when going dirt biking and mtn biking where I will be changing into ride boots or shoes. They come on and off so easy when changing shoes/boots and are the perfect footwear for when washing the bike after the ride. Before you put the hose away, give the boots a spray off and you are good to go! Plus the green color rocks!

Stop Making the 6.5" Chelsea Boot
LL Bean should discontinue this slip-on boot because it is an ill-fitting design.

Great boot for Winter Wear
I bought this boot for casual winter weather. It is cool in blue and matches my jeans. It does run big so ensure you order a full size down.

Great Boots
The boots are well made and will last for a very long time, hopefully. The fit was a bit loose for me but fixed that with some inserts which made a big difference.

Too wide
Ordered size, based on sizing guide. One size under my usual. Still too big in the heel area. The heel box is almost an inch wider than my foot. I’m taking them to a local shop to see if some padding can be added. Thick socks don’t help. I’m really trying to like these boots, due to easy off/on.

Good boot choice on my part!
I needed a new pair of outside shoes for when the ground is wet from rain or dew and I was going to get a fourth pair of Bean's Gum Shoes but decided on these 6.5 inch Chelsea Bean Boots. Great choice on my part. The best part about these boots is that I can slip them on on the porch when I have to take our dog out (or whatever), I don't have to try and tie them before I leave the porch and they are comfortable. I have worn them with different weight socks and so far all do well in these boots. I can highly recommend these slip-on boots to keep your feet dry while easy walking or simple chores outside in the damp in the Finger Lakes region of New York.
