Jack chews all day, and duct tape isn't working!
Jack loves his little bed best, and this is his third cover. Next time we will spring for the entire new bed.

Poor Quality
I have the Large couch bed for my 90lb Doberman. The original cover lasted about 6 years (was his predecessor’s) and held up to a lot of abuse and washing. The new covers look like denim, but are not as durable or resistant to wear. I am lucky to get these to last 6 months before they are torn apart and need to be thrown away. The previous canvas material used was excellent and STRONG. I’m disappointed that others have commented similarly and LLBean has not reconsidered the fabric used. I am willing to pay for quality, but this isn’t it.

Great Bed Cover
These dog bed covers are both durable and attractive. I bought a dog bed cover a few years ago along with a bumper fill kit. I never bought the full bed but instead used some memory foam from a mattress we were getting rid of and cut it to fit. It has lasted years. I bought new covers recently because the old ones were looking worn and stained, and the new ones match the carpet better after the remodel that we did. They are washable, but after years of dog use, some of the staining would no longer wash out.

Just the thing!
Our rescue pup came with an LL Bean bed that had seen better days. But he loved it, so I replaced the cover rather than the whole bed. He was happy with it immediately, and so was I. Taking off one cover and putting on the new one was much easier than I expected, the color is perfect, and after several weeks of serious scratching, the fabric is not only intact but doesn't even show any wear. No complaints!

Beautiful bed
I bought this bed for my dog, Suzie Q. She had injured her hind leg, and I needed a bed to support her. What a bed! She absolutely loves it and so do I! Easy to put together and very well made. I highly recommend this bed for any dog.

Nice replacement cover
The replacement cover fits well, color as expected. The fabric is lighter weight than the original heavy canvas but that's a benefit to me. I like to wash the cover frequently and the original took too long to dry. The bed is shared by two small dogs so I don't have durability concerns.

The material is much less (?) sturdy, and feels lighter and cheaper. Raise the price more but at least keep the quality consistent.

Don't get this dog bed!
We bought this dog bed a little over a year ago - . The cover started coming apart at the seams after about a month. I never write reviews but I just spent an hour trying to sew it up again and can't contain my frustration. On top of the cover being poorly made the bed is quite difficult to put back together after the cover is washed. The bolsters on the sides and the one on the back are hard to insert and then it is very difficult to get the egg crate base in so that it lies flat. Every time you wash this bed, plan on having to sew it back together and wrestling with it for about an hour - absolutely not worth the money or aggravation.

Better than the original cover.
We have had the dog bed for a long time but needed to replace the cover because there was a small hole in the center. our current dog, a germen shepherd mix rescue, likes the bed just as much with the new cover. However the new cover is better for us because it is easier to take out or replace the cushions when washing the cover as they slide easier than they did with the old cover.

This is the third time in a handful of years that I have had to replace a cover for these beds. This will be the LAST time. These covers use to be heavy duty, more like canvas. Now they are so thin, a dog doing any scratching at all will tear a hole in them in no time. It is inexcusable a product made specifically for a dog bed cover would be of such thin and weak fabric! Overall, I am tired of paying such high prices from LL Bean when the quality is no longer there. Forty years ago a purchase from this company meant it would last. Not any more. Clothes always shrink. Zippers never work or break in months. I'm turning in my credit card and shopping elsewhere.

Quality tanked
This is the third or fourth of these that I have bought. The first two were awesome - nice thick, rugged canvas feel to them which last my dog about a little more than a year before she manages to rip them. This one is a totally different quality. The material is much thinner and less substantial, and even the color is different. I’ll probably keep it because the bed innards were so expensive and I don’t have a better idea for now. But I’m really disappointed in the quality lapse, especially from LLBean. I feel like I’ve watched the quality of other items gradually drop as well, which to a New Englander and LLBean evangelist like myself is a huge bummer.

We have an extra large bed purchased 20 yrs ago for our 2 Golden Retrievers. It has been part of our lives along with our new Golden for years. It is still a great bed ! No tears and it has been a wonderful bed.
We were thinking of replacing it since it has been so long since we purchased it . But I am now reconsidering this purchase because of the changes in the covering noting now not being 100% cotton and because of the poor reviews . Why change a great product?

Worth every penny
Order this cover to replace original LLBean dog bed which had lasted 7 years for three Corgis. Bed is big enough for both and cover was, and this one is, tough enough to hold up. While seeming expensive, the durability and ease of washing make it well worth money spent.

New Material Used On Dog Bed Cover
The recycled polyester now being used in conjunction with denim does not breathe as well as the original 100 percent denim cotton dog bed cover. Our dog is getting up in the night to cool off on the floor.

Comfortable!
We lay on this bed almost as much as the dog :) We have the memory foam and the bed has held up for the last 7 years without replacing anything. The only negative thing is that it isn't very easy to take the cover on and off, so I don't wash it that often.

Cheap Fabric in comparison to original
This is disappointing. I don't want to buy a whole new bed but this replacement cover is no where near as thick and durable as the previous. Don't think this will last very long at all and for the price especially.

Came here to buy a replacement cover...
... for our 6-year-old XL Premium Denim Dog Bed, but after reading the comments about the poor quality fabric of the current version, I'll pass. Too bad. LL Bean used to be known for their quality. I'll have to look elsewhere for a new bed for our Golden.

Knockoff?
This bed cover is MUCH thinner than the original cover that came on the bed. Not sure who decided to save a few bucks by switching to a thinner fabric, but this cover feels like a cheap knockoff. Bean was once the ultimate dog bed - no longer, apparently.

Quality slipped!
The overall heft of the fabric is much lighter than prior LL Bean covers. Very disappointing, and surprising that LL Bean would want their name on this. Our dog will dig through this one in no time…..
