TOO TIGHT
I got these as a gift--tag says SIZES 6-10 (Silver Birch/Medium). I wear a size 8.5 womens shoe and these feel like compression socks on me, and not comfortable. Plus, they started "pilling" after the first use. Disappointing.
If you are on the low end of the size, the socks should fit better.

Good socks!
These are soft, stretchy, and comfortable. They fit my feet! There is not pulling and tugging to adjust they simply fit! I love the multicolors. They are between a light to medium weight. sock. I would buy again.

Although the colors are great, I all but needed a shoehorn to get an extra-large on. Then the foot part fit but the tops were too tight even when rolled halfway down. They showed wear signs after a short trial run, and there was no difference after washing. Very disappointed, even though the price is reasonable.

I like everything about these socks with one exception, the toe box slides; it does not stay even, straight on. It’s strange. Other than that, the fit is true to size and the fabric is soft.

Nice if you like thin socks
These socks are quite well made but are also very thin. As far as crew socks go, they don't go very far up your leg. So they are a bit on the short side. I will bet that these socks will last quite a while. I also like the color scheme. I got the Navy ones with orange.

Yes, these socks are wicked soft!
Wore them on a 3+ mile hike with a pair of Merrell hiking shoes. No rubbing, soft, comfortable. True to size - I wear women 7 1/2 and bought the medium. Came through wash okay. I do not put them through dryer so don't know about shrinkage. We'll see how they hold up after repeated wearing and washing.

Soft socks too tight
I saw these socks hanging on a rack in the Bean store and they appeared to be very soft and kind of pretty so I made kind of an impulse buy and purchased them. The material was indeed soft but the socks themselves were very tight and difficult to get on and I put them on right out of the package. They were sized as "one size fits all" or something like that so I figured I'd be fine. I do not have a large foot. I am 5'2"inches tall and weigh 124 pounds and wear a size 61/2 shoe. I am not a large or heavy person. I washed them after wearing them for one day and then line dried them, but after one washing they are now nearly impossible to get on. I gave up and now they are sitting in a drawer and I am out 20+ bucks! I am a HUGE L.L. Bean fan and probably one third of my wardrobe is from Bean's but I was very disappointed in these socks. First review I have ever written for any product in any store - sorry it was a negative one.

Great looking but not comfortable
Was excited to get cotton socks in such rich colors, but I couldn't wear them. They are very constricting at the top of the socks. I don't have large legs but these were too tight to be comfortable on the upper part of the socks. Too bad because I love the colors, material, and weight. And cotton!

They were a gift for another old guy that wears Birkenstocks. He likes because they are comfy, pretty thin and good colors. I bought large size. He says he would order a size larger but they fit ok. He wears size 11 shoe.
