Comfy jacket for the Fall and beyond
This zip-up corduroy hoodie was perfect for my trip to the beach this fall. Love the color, got rust. Bought a large so it would fit comfy over a sweater. Looking forward to using outdoors an indoors when it gets cold out.

Excellent Corduroy Hoodie
Just received my corduroy zip-front hoodie in Rosewood. The color is like a light burgundy and it’s beautiful. I got a large and it’s perfect, just the right amount of “roomy.” I’m 5’5” and 147 lb. I’m usually between sizes because the Med. is 10-12 and the Lg. is 14-16. (I’m consistently a size 12 overall.) I don’t like jackets or sweaters to be tight, and I’ve ordered other sweaters and vests from LL Bean in Large. Again, I’m happy with my size choice including the length. The wide-wale cord is very nice and because it is 100% cotton I will wash cold and dry low for a maybe 15 min and dry the rest of the way. I can’t wait until it cools off more so I can wear it!

Beautiful color but funny fit
I bought the dark plum rose version of this corduroy relaxed shirt in medium. The color is beautiful and the shirt is nice and soft! However, its cut didn't fit me at all. I'm 5'4", athletic, with broad shoulders and a bust. The shirt is very wide at the bottom (great if you have hips, which I don't) but the seams over the shoulder blades make it feel constrained across the shoulders. Although I considered keeping it for the color and softness I ended up returning it for the fit.

love wide wale corduroy hoodie, but
Not as soft as previous Comfort Cord tunic/shirts, stiff after washing, very boxy huge hem hips, but short sleeves, sea grass is greyish pale green. Needed to exchange for XL to get long enough sleeves, then hire seamstress to alter the WIDE chest/hem. Pls make TALL and not cropped lengths. Bring back Lime/Celery greens, the bright aqua and more Richer colors; black, rusty red, Coral.

I bought this in the Saddle color and am so happy with it! The corduroy is a substantial wide wale, and the fit is flattering. It has enough room for a heavier top or light sweater underneath, without being too roomy. I ordered my usual Regular M. For reference I’m 5’3”, 131 lbs.

Dark Plum Rose is really pretty
I have several of the corduroy button shirts and like them okay, they are a bit heavy for my needs. This zip hoodie corduroy jacket is a perfect weight and I love the color Dark Plum Rose is such a pretty color that will get me from fall to spring, I am taller (5'9") with longer arms so I do wish the sleeves were a little longer but the length of the jacket works well for me. It is a relaxed style, not fitted, so keep that in mind when choosing a size. I got my regular XL and it will work with 2 slimmer layers or 1 heavier layer with room to move.

Who doesn't love corduroy?
I love corduroy and that they offer this cute jacket in plus sizing. The fit is perfect with room for layering. I ordered the Saddle color, which I think can be used as a neutral and goes with a lot of other LL Bean items. Looking forward to wearing it this fall and thinking of ordering another color too :)

I purchased the hoodie in a Petite Small Navy Blue. A good color that will go with whatever I am wearing. A muted dark - grayish blue. I am 5' and 102 lbs. for reference. It is a nice alternative to the hooded cotton zippered version. A bit more refined in style.
I really like that it has 2 pockets on the inside. It is a little boxy in design, but that is fine for throwing on and doing errands, or traveling on the subway. I can put a light sweater underneath in the Fall when it is a bit chilly. Goes with whatever I am wearing. Washed well so far.

Sadly, not a flattering drape
I really wanted to love this jacket! But - - while the corduroy is fabulous and the color is just what I wanted, the fit did not work for me. The cut of this jacket is such that it is very large in the waist, so that the drape adds significant visual width to the body. It just wasn't flattering. I was so excited to get a jacket that fit well in the bust (I am usually a 3X) and the 3X fit great across the chest, but it was so large everywhere else as to be unflattering. I tried it in the smaller 2X and had the same problem - - while the bust was a little more snug, it did fit but the rest of the jacket was still cut much too large. Sadly, I sent it back. I have had great luck with other LL Bean 3X tops, so this experience was a bit of an outlier.

All but the zipper
This jacket is everything I hoped it would be . . . All but the zipper. It is kind of "wavy" looking when zipped up instead of lying flat. Not a big deal, but I'm often running my hand down the front of it trying to flatten it out.
