Great fit, durable

My daughter b-lines for this hat immediately upon entering the store in Freeport, ME. I grew up on LL Bean everything and have vivid memories of my mother never leaving home without at least one LL Bean canvas tote. Nothing I’ve ever purchased from LL Bean has given me one ounce of disappointment my entire life long. Summer sleep away camp adventures didn’t happen without LL Bean. Family camping trips, ski trips. Fishing trips - didn’t happen without LL Bean. From Dog leashes and cedar filled dog beds, to backpacks for school, to long John’s that work perfectly even in Northeastern Vermont at 35° below zero. Love everything LL Bean!!!

Nice looking hat, but made of recycled polyester instead of acrylic or cotton. Not my prefered material. Also, the blaze orange color is too bright for my taste. Returned the hat for a refund.

Be wary of this hat
Threading of fabric comes loose in lengthy pieces. This was the same issue that we noticed on most of the other exact hats that we saw in size and color at the flagship store in Freeport. The one we purchased did not show the defect until a few days after the purchase.

Great hat, questionable craftsmanship/durability
Threads on the waffle stitch fray and pull with great ease, which is really sad because he hat is otherwise amazingly soft and quite warm. It’s actually one of the better feeling winter hats that I’ve had the pleasure of wearing. If you could figure out the unraveling of its threads at the slightest disturbance, it would be an easy 5 stars.
