Best Boots!!! Comfortable/Waterproof/Insulated
I’ve tried to find waterproof boots that are insulated every year. I had 3 requirements waterproof, comfortable, insulated. Another brand similar style cheaper price. Was very uncomfortable that my feet knees and hips hurt after walking the dogs and there was no insulation in the toe box. Two others from a brand known for a comfortable footbed had no insulation in the toe box. My feet were comfortable but cold and I wore the sole off in a month. Here I am back at my trusty LL Bean. These boots check all the boxes. Comfortable. Warm, the toe box is actually insulated. Definitely waterproof. And bonus, when I eventually wear the sole off, they can resole it. That won’t be for a while, since these are so well made

Ok for a substitute
I got the 8" black/gray fleece lined boot because you no longer make the one i really wanted. I have the brown,10" shearling lined boots and LOVE them. When i tried to get them in black you had changed the design and added a zipper, so i settled for these. They are ok although the 8" does hit right at the ankle bone...

I wasn't sure what size to get based on all of the conflicting reviews, i'm a woman's 7 and bought a 7, and they are perfect - with regular socks and with thick socks. incredibly comfy, cozy, warm, grippy, best boots ever! 10000% happy with them!

Great boots for style and warmth
Great boot. It does run bigger but they warn you it’s so you can use winter socks. Order at least 1/2 to 1 size down depending on your thickness of preferred winter socks. Well made with love.

Great boots for wet snow
Found these at the Ellsworth outlet. Love them, they really work. The only thing is that you have to try on every pair you’re interested in in these kinds of boots because the sizing is very inconsistent across style lines. But once you have the right size you’re golden. I usually wear an 8 boot but I bought a 7 in these.

Sizing issue's continue
My experience with LLBean boots have been they run an entire size too big. Still, I ordered my usual size hoping this was correct, but as expected, I had to exchange them for the smaller size. Love the boot now that I have the correct size.

Amazing Boots

Very comfortable and warm.
True to size. Very comfortable, warm and well made. I returned because I was shopping for a specific trip and decided I needed something different. I live in the south and would rarely have a need for boots this warm. If I lived in a colder climate, these would be a must.

The inserts were too small for the boots, and it’s 9 above this morning and my feet are chilly in these snow boots. Not rugged or warm enough for Montana weather. If you want to look like a cute snow bunny that drinks hot chocolate inside, maybe they would work for that.

Cozy and warm
Another high-quality product. My last pair was over 40 years old and still had life in them. I gave them to a friends daughter. I know I can rely upon LL Bean for quality items at reasonable prices, which is why I come back again and again. These boots are cozy and warm. The wide width is perfect. My only suggestion would be to make them in half-sizes too.

Great boots!
I have wanted a pair of LL Bean boots for a long time. I had a pair of "look alike" boots but finally took the plunge. Wow! What a difference! These are amazing! I chose the black and gray ones because I tend to choose black coats and clothes. The grey leather was only stiff for the first couple of wears. It broke in quickly. The traction on the sturdy sole is so much better than the other boots. I haven't worn them for an extended period of time in the cold, but when I went for a short walk in deep snow today, my feet stayed warm and dry. These boots are worth the money. I wear a size 7.5, so I decided to size down. The size 7s fit with regular socks but would probably be snug with thick socks.

Love these boots!!!
I love my new boots! I got the blue and black ones in a size 10, which is my regular size in boots. They fit great. Enough room for heavy socks. If I had gone with a size 9 because they would have been too tight.

These boots were definitely a splurge. However, as someone with Raynaud's Syndrome who frequently experiences cold and numb toes, they keep my feet warm. I live in northern Alabama and while it doesn't stay very cold for long, we do get some snowy weather. These boots are perfect for me. I usually wear a size 6.5 but I ordered a size 6 and found the length and width to be perfect. I have enough room to wear thick socks. They were well worth the money spent and I would definitely recommend these to a friend. The fact that they are made in the U.S.A. is a big PLUS for me.

So close to 5 stars - need softer footbed lining
These are very well made and fairly comfortable. However the soft lining of the upper ends with the leather and the interior of the footbed is not soft or lined really at all. Without thick socks it is a bit uncomfortable and your feet would be cold, but your ankles would be warm. With thick socks, it is just fine. The uppers are high enough that you could tie them up and keep rain and snow out. I would give them 4.5 stars if it was an option.
These are definitely waterproof and have great traction, not too heavy, easy to walk in. But if it is chilly outside, you need warm socks. They are appropriate for a wide foot so plenty of room for those warm socks, or even two pairs. I wear a size 10 in everything and ordered a size ten and the length is perfect. If you have narrow feet, perhaps size down. That didnt work for me, the first pair I got in a 9 and my toes were right in the end of the boot.
The tred is excellent, I ran around a grassy Christmas tree lot on a rainy day chasing kids and these felt secure, and my feet stayed bone dry. I have wanted a pair of LL Bean boots my whole life and bought them for myself for my 50th birthday. These things are so well made I bet I can still wear them in 20 or 30 years.
I am taking them to Iceland with me in late February, and I already purchased alpaca and wool socks to wear with them.
