Very disappointed--has the fabric changed?
I bought these pima percale sheets in grey and white a few months ago, having bought the blue and white checked ones two years ago and the blue windowpane pattern ones a couple of years earlier than that. All of the older sets are great quality, but the new ones are a huge disappointment for the cost. The fabric is slightly shiny, distinctly thinner, and a little slippery, and feels as if there is polyester in it. No matter how much you iron the sheets, the seams and the hems won't stay flat. Completely different than the earlier purchases.
I intend to bring a pillow case back to the store to show them.
Also, the fitted sheet is much to big for our king bed and when you turn over in your sleep, it pulls extra fabric onto the bed.
I had loved these sheets and considered them the best in the market, but obviously the fabric is not the same or from the same source, and is not worth the money. I buy many things from LL Bean and this is my first disappointment.

Fitted sheet too large
I purchased king size sheets as I have previously from LLBean m. These sheets have a nice feel however they are way too large for my king mattress and they bunch up under us.

Pretty sheet set
Love the pattern. The sheets are not quite as soft as hoped but still comfortable. A little too big for our mattress but better too big than too tight. Enjoying the set.

Beautiful blue buffalo plaid
I actually bought these pillow cases to use to make into curtains and a pillow cover for a bedroom we just remodeled. The pillow cases are made with a lovely buffalo plaid print and have a soft to the touch but crisp fabrication. They are exceptional pillow cases and will make a nice pillow cover. The blue color matches perfectly with our room.

Fail. Total Fail.
Epic fail. Scratchy, plastic feeling sheets. Nothing like the quality sheets that can last 10+ years. Maybe some people like sleeping between two plastic table clothes but it is not for me. Sad.

Great sheets! This is my second set!
I love these sheets so I bought a second set. Just remember to follow the laundry directions. Wash warm - dry on low and they will not be wrinkled. They dry very fast even with the low setting. My first set lasted a long time given the fact I didn’t follow the directions on drying. I expect these will last even longer!

Nice sheets, but fitted sheet is not sized well
I have purchased several sets of LL Bean percale sheets for our king sized bed. On the minus side, unlike our other LL Bean king sheets, this fitted sheet is just way too deep. I have to tuck it in on both sides by several inches. Kind of annoying.
On the plus side, the gray/white check is lovely, the fabric is very nice, and the open ends of the pillow cases are much less wrinkled out of the dryer than our other LL Bean percales.

Too big yet also too small!
I love the pattern and the crisp texture of the sheets. THe lower sheet seems baggy on the bed, but I can barely get the corners to fit over my mattress. Too big yet too small. I bought some sheets (plain white) from Target, and they seem to be tailored to fit my mattress. They are the only sheet that seem to fit properly. I can[t answer the questions below because. Your software won’t allow me to add text. No I would not recommend these sheets to a friend unless there is some way to determine if they fit on their bed. I bought Twin sheets for my small twin bed. They are at once too large and too small. I have been an LL Bean customer for many years. I live in Chicago. I hope this answers your questions. They certainly don’t address the problems I have with my sheets.

Good sheet pattern
Subtle pattern that works with the room and, also, helps to keep the bed linen centered. I prefer the 280TC because it's easily ironed and not like cardboard. I've found that higher threadcounts are not a benefit. These sheets, although percale, have a smoother finish that is somewhat like sateen, for those who might find that to be appealing.

Fitted sheet is too loose.
The sheet material is fantastic and crisp, nice and cool when you first get in bed.
However, the fitted sheets are approximately 2 inches wider and longer than my standard size full mattress. The corners wrap down the sides of the mattress, leaving the sheets loose with folds and wrinkles that are uncomfortable. After 1 wash, there is no shrinkage. I find it hard to believe they will shrink at all.

Excellent and Lasting Quality
We've been very happy with the quality and feel of LL Bean's percale. We own a number of sets, and they LAST. I like to pair them with different bed quilts I've made, so they're constantly in use. Colors hold, and the cotton itself does not develop a "suedey " feel like many percales do, as they age. Highly recommend.

4” too wide for king bed.
Sheets had a very strange waxy feel to them. Washed and dried the sheets and the lint in the drier screen was nothing like I have seen before. Really strange texture….what have the sheets been treated with? Also, the fitted sheet was not fitted…. way too wide for the bed. Returned to local store with no issue.

This should have been included in the description on the website for anyone who refuses ESPECIALLY to avoid any cotton coming out of that country.
I’m sure they’re fine sheets but there’s no way I can sleep comfortably on them and will be returning them for an alternative made elsewhere.

Won't stay tucked
My king size sheets will not stay on the mattress. I have an oversize thick mattress that is too heavy to lift, yet the bottom sheet will not stay on. It is not tight no matter how much tucking I do. By morning the fabric is gathered under me and requires another round of tucking, like the sheets are too big. It is a shame because I love the way they feel.
