Warmer than I expected
I have a few sun protective hoodies/shirts from various brands but they’re all in plain colours, or weird sparkly fish patterns. These stripes are great. The fabric feels good and durable. But it’s one of the warmest sun shirts I have.

Great for desert hiking
I bought this for hiking trip in Sedona instead of putting on sunscreen. I did not wear anything under it and it kept me well shaded, relatively cool (it is a long sleeve shirt in the desert), and it wicked away sweat. The material is very soft, thin and breathable, and I love that it stretches. I'm about 230lbs and I got an XL — it was pretty large, maybe could've gotten away with a Large. I highly recommend getting one and I'd buy more if they had other colors available.

Wear this, not chemical sunscreen!
Cool, light weight sun protection. Hiking in the Moab area, this kept me protected from the sun without having to use chemical sunscreen. (I also wore a large brimmed sun hat, a must.) The hoodie design provides extra protection around the neck, and in dire circumstances can be worn fully over the head. The usual sweaty back feeling after wearing a pack would, in just a few minutes, evaporate and become dry and cool during rest breaks. I got compliments on the striped design. 100% recommendation.

Perfect for over anything and under my life jacket
I bought the ‘mens’ color b/c I liked it better, reminds me of a sunset on the water. Super comfy and washed well. Will be nice for chilly New England evenings, keeping the sun off on the boat, and not taking up much room to throw in my purse :)

Trail running in the heat
