Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love them, but they don't wear well These Wellies were offered at an incredible sale price a while back, and since I had been looking at them for a long time, I jumped on the sale and purchased them in the beautiful and versatile color, River Rock/Silver, which is no longer offered. I wore them walking my dog, gardening and to field sports events. People commented on them, saying how comfortable they looked. They were comfortable, but a little too big, so I added heel liners and wore thicker socks. So, 18 months later, the righthand Wellie started "smiling" at me, and I noticed moisture was getting into the shoe. The right one also got a row of splits where I was flexing my foot. I'm disappointed in the quality of these; however, they're so comfy, I'm going to try Shoe Goo to repair them. Incidentally, I have a pair of L.L. Bean duck boots (gumshoes) from the 80's -- no Shoe Goo needed for them!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Effective but not comfortable walking shoes Sturdy, but too big even with inserts and not as comfortable for real walks as I had hoped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these shoes These wellie shoes are so comfortable and easy to slip on. These shoes are also very light weight and great for damp mornings and walking our dog.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best boots for New England spring These are the most comfortable low boot wellies! The souls are heavy and take on the muddiest conditions while the rest of the boot keeps your feet nice and dry. I live in CT and with this very wet spring we have had they have been perfect. I walk my dog every morning and have worn these boots every day since I bought them. I love the color too. Money well spent!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sadly, shoes cracked after two months I was so excited to receive these shoes for my birthday, mainly using them for gardening or walking in the park. The color, fit, and comfort were exactly what I was looking for. I was so sad when they cracked above the seam of the top box. I'm expecting they will be leaking soon. :-(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good overall I really like the look of this slip-on Wellie. I appreciate the ease of putting them on and the rugged bottom. I have a narrow foot and my foot slides a bit so I need to wear heavier socks and I do find them a bit heavy which is why I'm giving them a 4 star rating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy slip on rain shoe These outdoor rain shoes are great, but I have small feet and I did order 1 size down as advised but they are still about 1/2 size too big. I did check the kids selection but none looked “ adult-like”. The previous pair of kids mocks I bought several decades ago had held up well but my feet got too big. Hence the need to purchase a new pair. Like the color and the easy slip on style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable garden booties. I bought these boots in a size 9 to start. My regular size is 8.5 and the advice was to size up. Too big. I exchanged for a size 8 and they fit perfectly. I do wear them with a SuperFeet insert for more support. They seem to be well made and I can wear them comfortably for hours in my Pacific NW garden. I do recommend them but they do run a little bit large.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing I purchased this item 1 year ago but did not really start wearing them until about 6 months ago. About a month ago, I noticed cracks in the shoes, similar to what others have experienced. I have only used the shoes for walking my dog around my suburban block. I am very disppointed in this product. I love Bean shoes and have never had a problem but would caution people not to buy these.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I bought these in yellow in March '24. They were good up until February '25 when I noticed the rubber had ripped near the sole in about a 3" slash. I used these only to take the dogs out when the grass was wet/hurricanes. The size worked well - a little lose without socks, perfect with. Being in the backyard only with them, I don't believe I ran into anything that would have cut them. It is almost like they tore away from the seem. I even rotated them with a pair of higher boots when necessary so didn't wear them every day. I was very disappointed in this LL Bean product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Loved them until they died I bought these in tan, about 3 years ago. Started wearing them constantly, about a year later. Easy to get on and off. I put alpaca wool liners in them and they were warm and comfy. However over the last few months the rubber where my foot bends, on the right foot, has gradually cracked across the top, to the point now where I can't wear them. The left foot is starting to crack also. I ended up buying another brand of rain boot, unfortunately not the same style, but with thicker rubber. Bean, you need to find a solution for this problem. Many people have complained about this. We love them, but we aren't going to buy them until then. Bring back the tan and blue colours. Thanks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Uppers cracking after 5 months Love everything about these, EXCEPT, the uppers are cracking where my foot bends, and I have only been using them on a daily basis for 4 months. I have worn them in the mornings to take my dog for a short walk. As you can see, the right shoe is cracked, but you will need to zoom in to see the left side is also starting to crack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Handy Really like how easily they slip on and off. Great for popping out to feed the birds or collect the mail. Have worn them for running errands or trips to the wellness center (the Wellies even receiving compliments from women at the center). Probably won’t use them for longer hikes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loved them until the died. Loved these for a month and they seemed to stain easily and both of them split up the sides and cracked on the top. Had for 2.5 months. Returned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not durable Bought these Wellies for my wife to do barn chores in. She has had them about a month and they are cracking and coming apart in the area by the toe cap.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cracked after 2 months I really loved these boots until they started to crack on where you Ben your toes to walk. The glue around the sole of the boot also seems to be separating. Disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love These Wellies! The shoes fit well. I wear a 6M and these allow enough room for comfort with socks. Very comfortable and easy to put on. They arrived the day before we got some snow here in Atlanta and they were just the thing for those wet, cold conditions. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the Price These are great for quick errands outside when the weather is inclement. The soles really grip in dirt and snow. I have walked further distances in them, as well. Overall, I recommend these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great waterproof boots These are easy to put on and fit well. I usually buy a wide but these aren’t available in a wide but fit great anyway. I bought a second pair I liked them so much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them, just wish they had 1/2 sizes! Runs big I bought these in light blue for winter dog walks and loved the color, the easy slip-on style, and was delighted by the comfy cushioned arch support. We often walk on the beach in soft sand, and these were the perfect height to keep the sand out. Sadly, they ran just a bit too large so I had to grip with my toes to keep from walking out of them. I'm normally a 7, ordered a 7, but it fit more like a 7-1/2. I gave them to my size 7-1/2 daughter, and she loves them. I'm pretty sure a size 6 would be too small, so would love to see these come in half sizes!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love them but... I had my Wellies for two months and the top cracked at where my toes bend when I walk. I exchanged them for another pair because I really do love them. Waiting for the new pair to arrive and will see if the second pair does the same.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy and attractive I purchased these as an alternative to boots during winter and spring mud season, with the intention of using them mostly for yard work and gardening. I was looking for a shoe that was sturdy and waterproof, and so far these are working as planned. They are a bit stiff but that is okay as long as they protect my feet from mud, slush and water, and I'm guessing they will break in a bit over time. I just wish they came in half sizes. I usually wear a 7.5 and purchased an 8, so they are a bit big for my feet. I plan to try different inserts to make them fit better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable, rugged, but ... I wear these on dog walks and for running errands. I normally wear 7.5, so I ordered an 8 and there is plenty of room for thick socks. I bought the blue ones and get lots of compliments. The only gripe I have is that the sole is so deeply grooved that it traps a lot of pebbles and then I have to pick them out or click-clack down the street.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Attention-catching blue wellies These are good when there’s some slush, wet snowfall, melting snow etc here in Minnesota. I use them especially to take my dog on her 2 mile walks and also to slip on fast to run out quickly with her a few more times a day. I would give another star if there was better arch support and 1/2 sizes. Also, I would love to have the higher ones (above ankle) for when there’s more snow to slog through and when it’s colder, but my size was out and they couldn’t tell me when it would be available.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed Super-thick sock liner for comfort My toes froze in these boots with wool socks riding in the car with the heater on. I was hesitant to buy them, until I read they had a super thick sock liner. There is no super thick liner in the boot. They are only fine on a warm rainy day. My toes froze on a 56 degree day in January. Never should have bought them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great choice! Great all around mud and yard shoe. Easy to slip on and go. I do wish it were available in half size for better fit. Insoles and thick socks required. Love the color.
