I bought these pant in Carbon Navy and Frost Grey for travel to Israel. They were perfect for this trip - weather was sunny and depending on where we were and what time of day, temps were between 50 and 90+. Was never too hot or cold with these pants. . .

Convenient an functional
I bought these for a trip to South Africa. I wore them on a our gme drives an appreciated the ability to convert them to shorts when it was hot. I gave them a 4 because the material was a bit stiff and hot. I am hoping with continued use and washing the stiffness will improve

Disappointed
I was really hoping these would be the perfect hiking pants. Not so. I bought the XSmall size because I am short and thin. I can't wear Petites because the crotch rise is too short. The pants fit okay horizontally but vertically, not so much. There was at least 6 inches more pant leg than my leg. The zippers just grazed the tops of my knees, very uncomfortable. And there is a curious bulge in the side seams at the hip area, sort of like johdpurs, but higher up. There needs to be a better proportional fit for smaller sizes. I returned them.

Run very large
The pants are good quality but run very big. The belt loops are also huge and the belt provided is not wide , which adds to the silly look. I felt a little ridiculous in them - confirmed by my husband ;).
Purchased another style, same size, and they fit perfectly.

Don't like the cut of these new pants
I bought these same pants (per the catalog) four years ago, but the "rise" on the new pair is 1.5 inches shorter than on the old. Customer service confirmed this difference in an email exchange. Unfortunately, I will have to look to another brand for new zip-off leg pants.

These zip off pants seem to be somewhat newly designed. Regardless, I love them. They fit great and the fabric is more like "real" pants. Can't wait to wear them on some exotic vacation.

Great fit.
Fits true to size. I ordered a Medium, 150 pounds. They are very comfortable. I have purchased zip-offs from several different companies over the years because they are easy to wear and convenient to zip off and on. These are made very well and the zip-off short length is perfect.

Great active travel/hiking pants convert to shorts
I bought these pants for a trip to the Galapagos. They worked extremely well. The fit is good, and the fabric is great. It kept the wind out, and dried very fast. My only complaint is that the belt is too long, leaving a lengthy dangling end. It would be easy to shorten with a sewing machine.

Not bad, but hoped for better
I bought these because while I prefer wearing pants, sometimes it becomes too hot while hiking and I need to wear shorts. The lower leg unzips easily. They perform well, but the seam where the zipper is located presses somewhat across my thigh when I sit down. The instructions say not to iron, but they were a wrinkled mess after washing so I wound up ironing on a warm setting.

Like the material. The front pockets are way too small and the right hand side/cargo pocket should be large enough to hold a cell phone. Otherwise the pants are very comfortable.

Great quality but strange fit
These were really nice quality, but the fit was strange. I am 5'4 and an athletic 140lb build and it was too loose in my waist but too tight on my thighs. Tried wearing a few times but ultimately returned. Also too long for my inseam.

Limit range of motion for me
Since zippers don’t stretch, zippers around lower thighs prevent taking long steps and lifting knees high. If zippers were at widest part of thigh (so shorts would be shorter) this design would work much better.

Best Lightweight Hiking Pants
The pants are well made and wonderful for warmer weather. The dry quickly if you get wet and they have “give” in the fanfic for climbing. They are true to size and durable for long hikes over several days. If they had ten colors, I would by them all!
