LOVE the fit and feel!!
I LOVE these pants!! I've worn them twice when I volunteer in a local botanical garden. They're perfect in our recent heat and humidity, and very comfortable while I work.

Poor fabric choice for hot days
I live in a very hot climate. I took one look at the fabric content (97% nylon and 4% spandex)! I knew immediately these would not work in a hot climate. You would die of heat stroke. Nylon and spandex together? Get real.

Changes from prior style not good
When I saw in the catalog that the tropic wear pants had a new fit, I looked at them again.
Unfortunately they still do not have pockets which are sufficiently useful as the last ones you made did.
Additionally, there aren't any versions with a high rise fit.
I am anxious to purchase some navy Tropicwear pants from Bean but continue to find Bean's pants running short of what I had hoped.
Very disappointing.

Women’s tropical pants
The fabric in these pants is light but durable. I did order a petite but still several inches too long. The fit of size 4 is good for me. I’m 4’11” & 99lbs

Not what I thought it would be
I bought these pants for hiking and gardening. The best part of them is the color (navy). The front and side pockets are not deep enough. The snap is weak. The belt is clumsy. The fit just above the knee is a little tight. My least favorite LLBean purchase.

Great color, decent fit, useless pockets
I love the color (carbon Navy) and the fit is decent. However, the pockets are next to useless. The front pockets are way too shallow. A phone won't fit completely below the outer opening. You should add at least two inches, maybe three to the depth. The outside opening could be more horizontal as well. The cargo pocked is too narrow and too shallow to hold a cell phone. I'm keeping them but really unhappy about the pockets.
