Just What I Wanted!
These shorts are just about perfect for me. The fabric is slightly stretchy and breathes nicely for walking outside on a hot day. The style is casual, but dressier than athletic shorts, and the construction feels rugged. I especially like the riveted closure button for the fly. I love wearing these shorts, and I think they're going to last me a long time.

Travel pants
I picked the pants up because they stretch and are very lightweight. I bought for flying from Boston to Paris instead of wearing sweatpants. I took a second pair and also a pair of shorts of the same material. They pack very well because they are thin and light and still look like better then jeans or sweatpants. Buy a pair, your wife will be happy.

Great shorts all around!
Picked these for my boyfriend who works with giant bluefin tuna and he was very impressed they clean up nicely after getting tuna blood on them. Water repellent and have held up well. They look great on him and he says they are comfortable Got 3 colors all true to what's shown.

Very inexpensive construction all the way around. Pockets will not reliably contain anything larger or heavier than facial tissue. LL Bean is simply no longer a preferred provider.

I have the Bean Cresta shorts, which I like. I decided to try these, as they seem similar. The fabric is comfortable. The pockets are deeper. These have one zipper security pocket. The crotch was a little tight. The zipper seemed shorter then expected. I’ve decided to stick with the Cresta line.
