Undisclosed, sharp, metal, collar snaps are difficult at best to use and for this reason I would not recommend this product.

Tropic wear 50 SPF shirt
I purchased three of these long sleeve shirts in white, blue and light green and am very pleased with with the colors, fit and features. I am 6'3" tall with a 42" chest, 40" waist, 15 1/2" collar and weigh 221 lbs. I also just received a compliment of appearing "stylish and chic" in my white shirt during a WhatsAp conversation from a woman in Brazil :-)! ecg, 7/20/24

Perfect summer shirt!!
Love these Tropicwear shirts. Cool enough to wear all summer, while the long sleeves protect skin from the sun to prevent exposure reactions from medications. Always prefer 2-pocket shirts and even better that they come in tall sizes and an array of colors!

Great shirt - my husband's second one.
Great shirt for my husband who uses it constantly! He uses it to protect him from the sun, and it doesn't make him hot. The side vents in the rear are preferred over vents that open from the bottom.

We have Donkeys, Sheep and chickens here in Florida so in this heat I buy clothing that protects my husband from the sun and can handle perspiration when he is out taking care of them. He liked this shirt so much he wore it to a dental appointment yesterday and keeps it for “going into town” for animal supplies. His words “Excellent!”

Still a great shirt!
My husband has been wearing this type of shirt all Spring, Summer and Fall for more than 12 years. Unfortunately, he walked into a sharp branch which poked a hole right through it. I was going to patch it, but I decided to buy him a new one! The pockets are just what he needs and the straps to keep his sleeves rolled up work very well. The fabric weight makes it perfect for warm sunny days when he's trying to keep out of the sunlight.

Versatile
I bought the long sleeve version for sun protection during the day and some warmth as the cool evening approaches. Stylish, plenty of pockets, very functional. Nice colors to choose from. I even purchased one for my nephew who will be going to the Grand Canyon in August. Wear it for your outdoor adventures or look good at dinner in the evening. I highly recommend this product.

The shirt is fine, but comes with a L.L.Bean logo emblazoned over the left pocket. I do not buy clothes to advertise for the seller. Pay me to wear a sandwich board for advertising, don't make do your work for you.

Excellent Shirts
I bought two of these shirts and wore one or the other almost every day during a two week trip to Spain. We spent a lot of time outdoors in hot and sunny weather. The shirts are light and comfortable, and wash easily. They seem to be well made. I normally wear a medium size shirt, and that size works well for me for this product.

Bean' s "Slightly fitted" equals one size smaller than their historical sizes.
Hey, LL Bean, how about NOT making everything "slightly fitted" or at least offer traditional fit and sizes. If purchasers work out or do physical work most of your sleeves can't be pulled over forearms, and bicep/shoulders way too tight and I'm only average fitness. I have six of the earlier versions of these GREAT shirts and the new version fabric feels much thinner I worry won't last as long. All this being said, these are FANTASTIC SHIRTS!

Nice Summer Shirt for Hot Weather
These tropic shirts are nice against your skin, cool in the sun, and wash well. Just remember to take them out of the dryer when the cycle is complete, so they don't wrinkle. Have had no problems with the shirt showing wrinkles. I do like the snaps on the collar tabs to keep them held down in the breeze. My only complaint is the shirts are a little snug in the arms. The diameter of the arms could be increased just a bit. Besides being more comfortable to wear, this would also increase air flow. I am 59 years old, 5'8", 190 lbs. I think they fitted the shirts to a smaller, younger frame. These are fishing shirts and don't necessarily beed to be fitted. That being said, it will make a nice travel shirt to wear to Maui.

Perfect Factor 50 shirt found in a great color

I own dozens of Tropicwear shirts, both long and short sleeve, but I much prefer the previous buttoned-collar version, made in Bangladesh, to the newer snap-collar Indonesian one that I bought at least a year ago but haven't worn yet. Haven't worn it because it doesn't look or feel good--fabric seems thinner, sleeves are too long, but the body seems at least an inch shorter than before even though unwashed. The side-zipped pockets might look tidier empty than the older Velcro flapped ones, but they aren't as useful or easy to use.
