The best boot, minus the insole
Love the shoe. Looks amazing, feels amazing. Only reason it is not 5 stars is the insole is dreadful- thin, barely supports an arch, requiring me to buy a new insole for a new pair of boots.

Great boots but they run very large.
I purchased a size 10 boot. When I tried them on they were too big, I went to a size 8 and they fit great. Go two sizes down if you don’t plan on thick socks, one size down for thick socks!

Fleece lined Bean Boot
Very pleased with this boot. Just received it 11/17/22 and wore them shoveling and snow blowing in snowy Western New York. Very warm and very comfortable with a pair of mid weight socks. I’ve always been satisfied with Bean Boots.

Wicked Good Boot!!
I live way up in Presque Isle, ME and these boots arrived on the 1st big snowstorm of the year, so I got to put these boots to work right away! They certainly did a great job keeping my feet nice and warm while I was outside shoveling and cleaning off the cars and also while walking my dog around the block. I’m normally a size 10 or 10.5 depending on the shoe so I ordered down to a 9 based on previous experience of owning Bean Boots. Overall this is a wicked good boot and I would highly recommend to anybody looking for a top tier winter boot!

Nice modern color combination
I’ve been craving a pair of black Bean boots for ages , but in the past when they had a full black offering, they felt too heavy and masculine for a woman. I ordered the mens equivalent in my size 8 and the updated deep gray leather in combination with the black sole , softens the appearance just right to parter with jeans. Nice soft leather needs no braking in. They are a tad too large with the mens to women’s conversation but an inner sole should do the trick !

So warm and my wife loves how they look.
These are replacing my 8" non-insulated Maine Hunting Shoes that I've worn since the mid '80s. It was time. These are so much warmer, I wear them with only a light weight nylon stocking.
I hope I get 40 years of wear out of these, but I probably won't as I'm over 80 years old now.

8" boots with primaloft insulation
I ordered my normal size 10 as it has primaloft insulation and I'd be wearing thick socks. The boots were still too big. I reordered a size 9 and perfect fit. Quality boots and the blue leather looks great.

Treat Your Feet
The fleece lining is like a down coat for your feet. Not too much snow so far this winter, but it handles the little bit we've had in NYC as you'd expect. Hopefully I'll get to test them out in deeper snow tomorrow. Generally wear a 10 1/2 or 11 in sneakers and the size 10 is just right. Definitely dig the color, solid match with blue jeans.

With as many complaints I saw about sizing with all the L.L. boots, I opted to roll the dice. I lost. Why on earth are boots made so wide at the top, that the leather has to overlap to even come close to snugging at the ankle and above?! That tells me the fit of this boot gets even worse over time, as there is no adjustment left for tightening once that leather stretches. Furthermore, why can I buy boots from brands xxxxx, xxxxxxxxx, xxxxxxx, xxxxxx, and the list goes on, and never have to be guessing what will fit me? So, my advice to LL Bean, do more than read the reviews, fix the problems customers complain about, as they all say the same ole story. Outright stupid to be ordering boots 1 1/2 sizes different than any other boot made In America or from around the globe.

LL Bean boot sizes are off. I bought these as a gift and sized down as recommended, but they were still about an inch too big. Can't size down because they don't make them any smaller. The boots are nice - I just wish the sizing was more accurate.

Smart looking, pebbled leather, supper soft
Supper comfortable, almost like an UGG type shoe. Funny that Thom Browne and LL Bean are both making greay duck boots this year. I guess these are on trend again.

Amazing boots!
Love these! Look amazing and very comfortable. I am a size 8M in llbean boots (9 or 9.5 in other brands). The fleece lining does take up a little room inside, so if you barely fit into and a size without any insulation/fleece/etc then maybe size up, but they fit me perfectly.
