Maybe not the color you are expecting
This boot is NOT the brown color appearing in the catalog. It is a plum color. Perhaps more desirable for ladies.

Love these boots all year round
My husband hasn't worn them yet. Those are a Christmas present. He is 85 years old & loves these boots. Has 2 other pairs. wears them all year round. They are getting worn & our children tried to order some for Father's Day & his birthday but you didn't have any. They searched everywhere but couldn't find any. I recently found them. They are probably a seasonal item. We are all very excited to have found them. He tried them on & said they feel the same.
Thanks for bringing them out again, I am happy to have his Christmas present.

uncomfortaable to put on
the hook and loops need to be seperate as it is hard to put the shoes on as they do not allow the boots to open enough to slide the foot into the boot

Love the velcro strap enclosures!
I've had these boots a year and they are my favourites in all weather. The velcro enclosures make securing and removing the boots much quicker and more effective in my experience than laces. I wish more hiking boots were designed this way. I'd like to see more hiking and walking footwear of this design.

Good for floppy ankles
My elder offspring has floppy ankles and needs a lot of support. They're finding this boot very helpful in this respect. I don't know whether we can find something similar for summer.

Great shoes!
The day after these arrived I wore them while helping a friend with his sugaring operation. I trudged through ankle-deep snow over 10 acres of sugarbush, harvested over 200 gallons of sap from 150+ taps. My feet were dry and comfortable the whole time--and the maple syrup was delicious. Three days later I wore them while shoveling 13" of snow around our house; again, my feet were dry & comfortable the whole time. What more can you ask of equipment?

Warmest Winter Boot I have ever owned.
I own 4 pairs (2 for indoors and 2 for outdoors) - 2 Black and 2 Dark Earth. They are so warm I prefer them indoors over slippers. The height gives great support to wear anywhere and everywhere inside and outside. The velcro straps make it so easy to secure and remove. The tread has super grip on ice and repels stones. Very durable and easy to clean. I wish they came in dark blue.

Perfect fit, true to size. The double-double Velcro "laces" hold tight even on all day walks. I thought the tread could be deeper, but so far no slips and little wear. Actually, for the price, couldn't be happier.

Love these
These are very warm sneakers. I sometimes wear wool socks in the winter and these have eliminated the need to do that 90% of the time. That's my proof. Wondering how they'll be in warmer weather? They're also very supportive and now I'm spoiled by the velcro. Much faster than laces ;-)

Warm good looking boot
I like how warm and waterproof this boot is. The. Velcro closure is a nice feature. However,I thought it would be more sneaker like as it is described. The top is comfortable but the sole is very stiff. It makes walking rather difficult for me. There seems to be no flex there.

I'm a fanatic of lite weight footwear. Only wore these a few times last year however this year put them to the test. Temperature was 15 degrees yesterday with 5" of snow. Spent 4 hours coyote hunting in these sneakers and had my doubts. 4 Hours later after walking miles and sitting for long stretches', I got back to the truck and my feet were perfectly warm and dry. I did notice that a small amount of liquid high quality waterproofing on the front toe section helps even more in wet snow, Very impressed. They're also a blessing for exercising my bird dogs because they're so light. I would love to see Bean's famous chain treads on the bottoms for better traction climbing snowy hilly terrain, but they are as good as advertised.

So far I love these boots. Super handy for quick trips outside, shoveling snow, taking the dog out, etc. My local store only had the lace-up version, but after trying them on I ordered the hook & loop ones anyway because I wanted them for convenience, and maybe because I was a kid in the 80's and wanted some velcro shoes again. Fit and sizing are good, although they are a different size than some other LL Bean shoes I have. Comfort is good. Traction out in the snow is good. Easy on and off makes them handy.

Very nice except . . .
I cannot recommend the hook-and-loop closure on this boot. For me, the top strap is too tight while is mate is too loose. So, although it is otherwise a good fit, I cannot keep my heals down without over tightening the topmost strap. Guess I need to get the old fashioned laces.

Nice comfortable shoes. I love the Velcro so easy to put on. Order one size larger, I usually wear a 12 but needed a 13 . I have only worn down to about 25 degrees but they kept my feet warm for over 2 hours, that might not seem long or cold but my feet are always cold.
