Purchased 9.5 wide, needed for toe area. I just tightened laces and no slipping. This is my first pain of wide shoes ever but this works for toe problems. warm and comfortable. wish the foot bed was softer but its good.

These have got to be the best shoes ever. They keep my feet warmer than my boots do, I can wear them everywhere in cold Northern MI and they are just as comfortable as a pair of tennis shoes all without the bulk of a boot.

Bean's Snow Sneakers check all the boxes
Have hiked in these for long miles daily with my dog. Shoes keep my feet warm. Great in all weather, gripping all those park trails well, and helping with my balance on uneven terrain. I just replaced an old pair that lasted several years. I like these shoes. I recommend them to all who want a sneakers shoe you can wear in the cold and wet weather. Or you can buy Bean's waterproofed snow sneakers.

they exceeded my expectations
I bought these a month ago and wore them in minus 15 degree weather and my feet were warm.I was honestly not expecting them to be so warm. I bought the wider width and they fit perfectly. I had seen a lot of negative reviews on the shoe fit, I honestly believe those people do not know how to buy shoes.

Take note: Heel slips out of shoe
I should have listened to what other reviews said because the heel of my foot slips out of the back of the shoes on each and every step I take. Not good for walking! The shoes definitely run large. I ordered a size 9 and there was plenty of toe room. I put my orthotics in and they didn’t help the slipping either.

These shoes took care of my feet!
I bought these sneakers in preparation for a trip to Europe--I was going to be spending a fair amount of time walking outdoors. I am very pleased that the shoes fit nicely, were warm, and had great tread. They made it easy to walk on cold, sometimes wet or slippery sidewalks and paths. My feet were warm and dry throughout the trip! I originally bought these shoes in size 9.5, but my arches hurt in them. I returned them for size 9.0 which fit nicely and supported my feet.

Warm but narrow forefoot and wide back
I got these because my feet get cold during long walks, and because they are waterproof. They are indeed warm but because I have bunions the forefoot is tight. Also, I have a narrow heel and the back of the shoe is wide and does not have sufficient padding to prevent slipping at the heel (I have added moleskin in the back to reduce this). I will be wearing these in cold, wet weather but will otherwise stick to my Hokas for long walks.

Warm, dry feet
I love these shoes. Several years ago, I bought the snow sneakers with arctic grip on sale. They have been great, but they are heavier than the regular snow sneakers and I didn't find the arctic grip that effective. These are much more comfortable to wear and just as warm and dry. The lacing system is flexible and easy to adjust for heavier or extra socks.

Heel slips
I really wanted these shoes to work out as they are just what I was looking for and so comfortable. The medium fit perfectly except the heel was not molded enough and I kept slipping out at the back. Not acceptable for a trip where I will be walking around a lot. I appreciate LLBean's offering free shipping. Now back to the drawing board.

hiking buddies
this is my second pair of these sneakers. i walk/ hike several miles a day in all types terrain. i have crossed small creeks and come out dry if the water is not over the tops ( you couldn’t stand in the water). they last for a long time. i love them. it is one of a few choices i can buy in wide and are comfortable on long hikes.
