Absolutely hate the redesign
I've bought many pairs of these in the past and loved them, the newest pair is absolutely horrible (and way more expensive). They feel very cheap, are a lot lighter and lace up lower so that when I walk they don't stay on my feet. Epic fail... I guess now I'll have to hunt for something else to wear everyday for work. 😞

Excellent for the icy harbor walk!
Great for all seasons! They fit immediately upon putting my feet into the sneaker with no break-in needed! They are lighter than I thought they would be given that they are a snow sneaker. I walk a harbor walk year round and it gets icy in the winter. These sneakers have been great for walking the harbor this winter! Definitely worth a try!

Amazingly comfortable but returning
I loved the shoe except returning them as they are just to wide for my foot. I require a regular width. These shoes are meant for someone who requires a wide shoe width. I was on the fence about returning them because they were so comfortable and would be a great walking or travel shoe for the right person. I needed to tie the laces to the extreme for foot support and the shoe material on top bunched up and was visible. If you have a wide foot or require extra width for a medical reason like use of bandages, buy them.

Great for comfortably walking in rain or snow!
I ordered these for an upcoming winter Christmas Market tour of the Rhine River. I wanted something comfortable, waterproof, and warm in case of rain or snow. They hit all those marks and I’m happy with the purchase. I ordered up 1/2 size to accommodate thick socks, and they do slip a little in the heel, but still work.

Runs large and wide
I wanted to love these after trying on the higher boot version in the store. But the low version was unavailable to try on in the store so I ordered my usual size, 8. They are very wide and too roomy but I decided to keep them rather than exchange for a 7.5. Wish I had exchanged them. Decided to wear extra thick socks instead.

Not As Good As The Previous Version
I’ve been wearing these snow sneakers since they came out in 1997 and have had 3 pairs; size 8, B width. This new version is not as good. They are narrower and will not fit my custom orthotics. The eyelets have been replaced with loops except at the top and it is set 1/4” lower than the old ones which doesn’t allow for as much tightening of the laces. I always wonder why it is necessary to mess up a good product. These will be going back and I’ll hope that there’s an improvement next year.

Love my Bean Snow Sneakers
My second pair of LL Bean Snow Sneakers. My first pair lasted 10 years. Perfect for Ohio winters. Keep my feet warm and dry with good support and traction. I wear a pair of Smart Wool socks with them and I’m good to go. I’m an active 70 year old plus, who hates to give up my daily walk in the winter.

Warm, dry and comfortable.
I have been wearing these for about 2 months. Between freezing and down to mid to low 20 degree temperatures my feet stay warm with regular athletic socks. In temperatures below that I wear non bulky wool blend socks and have walked/hiked at 15 degrees without any problems with cold feet. I have a very standard 7 1/2 B foot and these fit like they were made for my foot. They fit exactly. That means they would not accomodate a heavy or bulky sock. I walk on blacktop roads and trails with sand, gravel, cobble. These shoes are comfortable and easy to walk in regardless of surface and terrain. They really meet my needs. I only wear them when it is freezing or below or when there is snow on the ground. I'm hoping to get a couple of seasons out of them and that they continue to be in the product line in the future.
