Nice boot, but has design flaw
These boots are comfortable and cute, once they’re on my feet. The zipper that doesn’t go through the fleece “collar” (roll down part) is a really weird design, that makes it a bit challenging to get the boot on. I usually persevere, but when I know I’m (say) just going out to the mailbox, or will be taking boots off and on, I generally reach for a different pair.

So comfortable I forget to take them off
These are the comfiest boots I’ve ever worn! I did size up 1/2 size because I knew I’d be wearing them with cabin socks and they fit like a dream. The heel/insole is cushioned like a slipper making them so comfortable I forget to take them off when I get into my house! The leather is high quality and the color is beautiful. Will definitely purchase again!

Beautiful but too much heel slippage
These boots are beautiful and I love the brown color and how the top folds down. I was excited to wear these versatile boots to walk my dog and when going out with friends in cold, snowy weather. The heel design, like others have mentioned, is bad. My heel constantly slips making the boot very loose in the back, pulls my tall socks down, and makes my feet hurt. I ordered my normal size and have debated trying a size smaller, but I think it would be too short. I have worn these for a few weeks multiple times per day to walk my dog, hoping that when I broke them in it would get better. Unfortunately, the heel slippage seems to have gotten worse. I will reluctantly be returning them although I love every other aspect about them. Length was good, toe box width was good, heel width was not. Bean, please fix the heel design ASAP so I can repurchase these.

Needs a ReDesign for fit
Like many other reviews I read After I bought these, We LOVED this boot (both me and my daughter are same size). EXCEPT the boot didn't fit either one of us due to the frequently mentioned bad fit Especially the HEEL area. The heel tended to fall in stride and oddly scuff along the floor. The boot was quite wide also, which I like, but the wideness exacerbated the ill fitting heel. I'm surprised this oftmentioned heel design problem hasn't been addressed by LL Bean as of yet because of their reputation for excellent quality, which is why I will remain a loyal customer.

Beautiful Boots
I bought the black boots. They are truly a beautiful boot. Will look great with jeans and dress pants. They were a bit large but work perfectly with my heavy socks. I would not size down as I believe they would be short in the toe box. Appear to be very well made.

Great Boot!
I hesitated due to so many negative reviews, yet there were many positives and mine is positive! These are so stylish. Got the black. I didn’t have trouble putting them on, but purposely folded down the cuff and that was even easier. I tried on with thin socks and my heel was fine, so I know I can also wear thicker socks if I want to. Super happy!

Rugged and cozy is right!
I loved the look of these boots and fortunately they fit like Cinderella's slipper! They are not super heavy or clunky, just right for winter and cozy socks. I love that the top can be rolled down for a little different look. Very happy!

My new favorite boot!
Just received these in time as the midwest is expecting a major winter storm this weekend.
I opened the box, put them on with a pair of smart wool socks and they fit perfectly ( I am a consistent 8.5 M). Then went for a 45 minute walk in sub freezing weather. My feet were toasty and ever so comfortable right out of the box. I got these for a bargain due to the sale but would have paid full price for them because they are also rather stylish. I also found them easy enough to put on. You cant go wrong with these!

Was very happy, then shoveled. not waterproof
These were very comfortable on a trip, they do run big. I am lucky that it didn't rain though as the minute I wore them to shovel 2 inches of snow they were soaked inside. Very disappointed in that aspect. They've become rather useless as an everyday boot for the winter.

Super comfortable boots.
I love these boots!!! They are perfect for casual wear in winter. I can have the top up to provide more warmth or roll down for a cute sherpa look. They are easy to slide on and super comfortable. I am usually a size 9.5-10, went with a 10 and they are roomy but not too big, great when I wear thick socks.

Frustrated
These boots are IMPOSSIBLE to get on. The zipper only goes up halfway so it’s really a pull on boot. There is no way my foot could slip in to this boot. It’s so disappointing because these boots are really attractive and seem to be warm.

Not the same boot I ordered before
I ordered the boot with the same name 2 years ago and loved them. The first ones were fuzzy all the way to the toes, heavier weight, and just seemed to be better quality. They were a little big. These are not fuzzy past the ankles and I cannot get one of my feet in. They don’t seem like they will be as warm as the first ones.

Not impressed
I really wanted to love these boots. However, they have a weird fit. The toe area is tight while the heel is wide resulting in a sloppy uncomfortable feel. I wore them for a few days hoping they would grow on me. I wish I would've just returned them and spent the little extra money for Blundstones.

Good quality boots.
Love the look and color. Seems like good quality leather. I wear a 7.5, so thats what I ordered, very comfortable, although the width I will say seems a little wide for me. I've been wearing them for about a month and so far loving them.

Great boots
These boots have been great for me and I recommend them.
I have wide feet and out of the box they had plenty of room in the toe box. As I've worn them the leather has formed nicely around my feet without stretching out too much. I'm a professional dog walker, these are easy to slip on for early AM walks, and are very comfortable for daily 5+ miles on easy flat wooded trails and paved streets. Then they clean up nicely and look great for daily off trail wear. For me, LL Bean is one of the few legacy brands whose products have retained quality without breaking the bank.

Great looking boot but…
Great looking boot but the 8.5 was too big. Returned for the 8 and I could barely get it on my foot. Once I did, it fit strangely like it was still a little too big in the heel area even though I struggled to get it on my foot.
