Not Great
I've ordered 2 of these now in black, one in the XL and one in 1X. I'm a shorty, 5'3" on my best day. I don't know if it's this style or just this color but they run short and after washing and lightly drying, could almost be considered "cropped." In addition, the seaming at the shoulders of the 1X particularly, is incredibly thick and uncomfortable. I love almost everything I buy from L.L. Bean but these basics are a failure. That said, I bought a very similar orange one last fall - not just a different shade but a separate item - and that one is fantastic! It's slightly heavier, keeps its shape, nice detailing around the collar... otherwise looks about the same style-wise. I don't understand the discrepancy but I won't buy this item again.

Very happy purchase
I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered this sweater, but loved the color & was familiar with cotton/cashmere blends I usually get from JCrew.
This sweater exceeded my expectations in every way!
The fit is perfect for me, the fabric is a good weight for wearing year round.
Haven’t washed it yet, I’ll probably dry clean it.
Planning to order 2 more in different colors.

Cute fit but ruined after one wash
Just received this sweater today. True to size as I’m 5’3 / 110 lbs (size 0 / 00) and a PXS fits well; sleeves are a good length.
I washed the sweater per the care tag instructions to clean it upon receiving it — machine wash cold delicate cycle with like colors, even put it in a delicates garment bag — and it came out of the wash with a small hole on the front of it. Very disappointed given the cost and care tag, would recommend either washing by hand or skipping altogether if you are relying on machine wash.
