Comfortable and useful
I just bought these boots and haven’t worn anything else since I got them. Functional boots in wet cold weather and on uneven ground when I am out walking the dogs, doing various outdoor chores or running to town for my book club. Well constructed and good looking. Extra support around my ankles makes me feel more secure on rough ground.

nice cozy boot
I gave them as a gift for Christmas to my daughter. She said they were cozy and kept her feet warm and dry. However,they did rub bruises around the top of the boot so we are looking for some kind of cushion to prevent that. That made it four stars only.

Perfect leather boots

excellent boots
these are excellent boots! i purchased a pair several years ago and i am wearing them now as i write this review. They were easy to breaking in and the leather becomes softer and more supple over time. The sizing is a little funky - i am a consistent 7.5 but sized down to a 7 in these. I can wear fat thick socks or thinner ones and they work. These boots are sturdy and very comfy. Once the cold and snow put an end to my Birkenstock clog days, these are my go to footwear for cold, snowy sloppy weather boots because they keep my feet happy, warm and dry.

Love These!
Great boots! They are comfortable right out of the box. However, they run slightly big, IMO. I normally wear a size 9 in every shoe and boot I own, so I ordered a 9, but they seemed a bit sloppy. So I then ordered an 8.5 wide and an 8.5 regular, and the 8.5 regular fit perfectly! Also, I have a high instep so good arch support is important to me. The arch on these is good as is, but with an additional partial arch insert, even better.

Classy looking all-purpose boot
Winter is sloppy in my New England home. What's needed is a water-proof boot that feels like a sneaker and can be worn for all but dress occasions. Ladies, this is it. The leather is high quality, the toe box is comfortable (be careful, the fit may run somewhat wide). I took them out of the box and went straight for a long walk at a museum. Worked like a charm.

Great work boots and look LL Beany out on the town
I bought these boots and they are wonderful. They are true to size, hearty, and look good. I am a size 11 and have low volume feet (thin). Before I bought these I had purchased a pair of men's wolverine boots. They were for much beefier feet. So I took a chance on these. I love them. I wear them to work on my property and have worn them out in the world and felt very LL Beany.

Very comfortable
I've had a hard time finding boots that meet my workplace requirements and are also comfortable enough to walk around the distribution center all day. Straight out of the box these boots were great! Stylish as well. The insulation is mid. Perfect on its own for fall but will need some warmer socks in the winter I think. I ordered wide because I've had problems with LL Bean women's shoes being tight at the heel before. Wide seems to be perfect for me, definitely no heel problem this time around!

Really liked them but.....
These boots are nice looking and seem very well made and really wanted to like them, but they just werent comfortable especially on my one foot. I have hammer toes and bunion on one foot. They just were too snug even in the wide and I didn't feel they would stretch enough with wear. I do a lot of daily walking, not hiking, and I need something really comfortable I reluctantly sent them back.

Loved the boot but they run large
I have no complaints about this boot. Love the look but they run on the large size. Im normally a 7(no socks)-71/2(with socks) and I ordered a 7 1/2 and they feel a bit too roomy. Have to exchange for a 7. Website says size up if you are in between but I disagree. Order 1/2 size down.

I bought a pair of these boots several years ago. I own a retail nursery in northern california and I wear these every day. I have always worn Red Wings but I have to say these by LL Bean are the best. They are water proof and very confortable. Best boots I have ever owned.

I have hammer toes, arthritis, and plantar fasciitis. There was room for the orthotic and plenty of room in the toe box. They are quite comfortable and I use them for gardening and in the stable. I am very pleased with them as shoes/boots are difficult for me to find that are comfortable. I ordered a 10 medium.
