Wide - Not Wide
Ordered these boots because they were one of the few LL Bean snow boots offered in a wide size (8 wide in my case). Unfortunately they were tighter than another model LL. Bean snow boot I ordered in an 8 medium. Kept the other boots and returned these boots. In my opinion, LL Bean needs to work on their size offerings.

The boots are fine, but lacing them is a pain
It is difficult to adjust the laces because the fabric loops that hold the laces grip them so they don't slide easily. I need to loosen the laces to put them on and then tighten them and then reverse the process when I take them off. It takes longer than I would like to do this each time.

Awesome boots

All around great snow boots
These hiking shoes are great for rain, slush and snow. Fully waterproof. I went into puddles 2-3 inches in depth and my feet were dry. These boots are extremely lightweight and provide good ankle support. Insulation is OK and traction is not great on ice.

Comfortable AND Warm
I expected these to be comfortable boots — they are. What surprised me was the fact that they are warm, as well. I wore them several hours in 10 - 20 degree weather with no problem.

Recommended but runs small
Great boot. My only two minor complaints are the laces could be easier to loosen and the pull loop on the back could be higher. Both would help make them easier to put on. And as others have said definitely order a half to a full size UP from your usual shoe size. These definitely run a little small.

Good cold weather boots
They are warm. I have worn them on 5-7 mile walks on days with temperatures in the teens, and did not have cold feet. But those laces could be better designed, so that putting the boots on and taking them off wasn't such a chore. Though overall, no regrets. I'm happy with this purchase.

Super lightweight, overall great snow boots
The lightweight nature of these boots cannot be overstated. It is so nice to have snow boots that are not super heavy and clunky. Besides the weight, they're great for any snowy condition. They're the kind of boots you can slip on unlaced and they still function great, or you can lace them up fully for a bigger outing. They keep your feet warm and dry most importantly. Wish I found them years ago and worth the relatively premium cost.

Winter boots
Boots are great, lightweight, well-insulated, waterproof, comfortable, and good tread for snow and ice. The only minor complaint I have is that tightening/loosening the laces when I put them on and take them off can be more of a chore than with other boots because of the way their lacing structure is constructed.

Nice boot, except too narrow around toes.
The boots are light, warm, and well-designed, except for two problems, one big, one small. The small problem is that it's hard to lace - it should have metal eyelets. The big problem for me was that it was cut tight around the toes. I can usually wear a 11 1/2 narrow boot. In this boot, the 12 medium was too tight around my toes and caused pain that lasted for a few days. I just returned them today. I may try a wide size when that's available.

These boots are in most respects just what I've always wanted, a lightweight, warm boot with good treads for snow. . Very hard to find at a reasonable price.
BUT, as many others have noted here, the laces are a Big Pain. Bean was clearly trying to create a tight lacing that wouldn't loosen up. In the process however, they've created laces and eyes that require real muscle to tie and untie. I don't know why Bean did not test these and identify this problem. (Try grasping the laces right in the middle and TUG). If anyone else has a fix for this, many customers would be grateful.)
Prepare to spend at least 2-3 minutes getting them on and off. The lacing issue would be a deal-breaker for me
but the positives of these excellent boots outweigh the MAJOR annoyance of the lacing problem

Add a size or lose your toes!
Boot appeared to be well made and comfortable. However, I'm a 9 1/2 to 10 in all footwear. So, I ordered size 10 for a little extra room. The 10 arrived and was extremely tight, with painful pressure against my toes. The boot was narrow, which was great for me, since I have a narrow foot. But, be sure to add (at minimum) a half to whole size larger than normal when ordering. If so, I think you'll be happy with the purchase.

Not true to size or width
There’s no way this is a men’s wide. I ordered a size and a half up after my usual men’s size 8 regular width was too tight, there was no discernible difference in the so called EE in 9 1/2. The toe box is very narrow and low squeezing my toes even with no socks which would be crazy in snow. What a waste of $13 to send them back twice.
